HMMM strange how she said she has no papers till he is fixed?? did you ask Judy that?

She said she gives full registration and has now stopped breeding for the most part.

Someone posted her name, phone number and address, so I had it removed by admin. Its not our place to put all that information in a public forum unless they didn't mind. Since the person who posted it did not have permission to do so, I politely asked admin to remove it. Sorry but I don't think its right to post all that personal info without permission. Hope you all understand.

I think you are all miss-understand the poster who said she wanted to stud her male before neutering him. She never said she didnt have full registration, but somehow it was assumed. All she is trying to do is decide whether she should allow her male to have a litter of puppies before she neuters him of her own choice. I have advised her against studding him, but it is her choice. She had been told about the pros and cons and I guess its up to her now. I'm totally confused as to why she says she can't get his papers till he's fixed.

quote CL poster " AKC eligible but I do not have papers and can not get them until he is fixed" this makes me think she didn't have full reg???? I would really love to know why she can't get papers till then also I may just have to ask.

Well ya got me cause it confuses me also. I don't know but when I called the breeder she said she had full registration and didn't have to neuter him if she didnt want too.

I don't agree with the craig list person. Once you enter a contract and give a breeder your word you should follow through..
on the other hand I don't agree that anyone should purposefully be harrased because you don't agree with them.
Why even take the time out to throw negativity someone's way just because you don't agree. Thas just wrong.

Making fun of someone that cant afford 1500 bucks is wrong as well. I know i cant and couldn't afford it either, and was honest in saying so and got what i was looking for at a price i could afford. You never know what opportunities may come you way when you state in all honesty your position...

well that's interesting. :p

This is not a hate post.

Just want to say that I disagree with you.

#1 The AKC papers are supposed to validate the fact that your puppy is a purebred & the pedigree will also help you determine if there have been genetic issues in the parents or grandparents, approximate size, etc.

#2 There are lots of things that we consider "ours" that we cannot do anything we want with for the good of society. There are laws that govern what you can do with your home, automobile and even your children. People left to their own decisions about breeding have filled up the shelters to the degree that many healthy animals are euthanized every day.

#3 As it is your right to look elsewhere for your pup, it is also the breeders' rights to try to insure that their puppies will not end up as breeding stock for a puppy mill or byb. I am very thankful that there are laws in the US keeping people from doing "whatever they want to do". Those laws protect us (& our pets to some degree).

#4 I'm sure there are breeders who are in it strictly for the money. I don't think they should be allowed to breed theirs either. I don't think Yorkies should be strictly for the "rich" but they are very high maintenance and I wouldn't want someone to have one that had to choose between getting their pet proper medical care & their household expenses.

Hope we can disagree pleasantly:)

i see this on two levels i think..lol

i think oviously she cant get the papers until she agrees to have him fixed, at that point whats the use of having papers.

but what i see is wrong is that she probably did get him and agreed to have him fixed for the papers and is still trying to breed him one time before she gets him fixed and gets his papers. she breaking the contract.

but i dont agree with limited registrations unless there are health concerns (i know 90% of you wouldnt agree) but these are the reasons why i think its unfair to limited registration ( these are just my opinions dont get mad at me:D )

1.) you are advertising AKC registered pups with limited registration there is really no need for the papers other than stating he/she is purebred and i think prices should be dropped because the papers arent doing any good. papers are good for breeding and showing. its nice to see the pedigree of course but you cant put the papers to use of anykind once they are fixed.

you cant show "fixed" puppies right?

2.) if i paid $XXX amount of dollars for a dog, thats my dog i want to be able to do what i want with it and dont want a person putting limits on what i can do with my dog. (sounds juvenile but its true and many people feel that way)

3.) if someone adveritised limited registration i myself will look elsewhere i will not continue looking for a puppy from that breeder. (nothing against the breeder or his/her pups just i dont want limits) Other people want to become possible breeders and i think it wrong to keep people from doing what they want to do

4.)i understand that the "reason" behind limiting the regsitration is so joe blow down the street wont breed a yorkie that isnt standard and sell puppies that are not standard. but i see that as his choice to make no one elses. but i also see it as competetion to the current breeders and i would think that also has a lot to do with limited registration. several breeders that i have coresponded with have admitted this, about prices going down, because more and more people are breeding them so there are more to choose from (not to say the quality is great, most probably arent)

But i do think this person is wrong for trying to "outsmart" the breeder to get another puppy for free basically. Good Luck in stering her in the other direction

No hate post please :)

I don't know if you mean that about what I said but I just wanted to say: I'm not making fun of her. I'm really concerned that she would be willing to sell her children's home. I still stand by what I said, I just really have to wonder what kind of person would do that. I just don't think she'd take good care of the dog.
I guess we just agree to disagree, and still be friends. :o

doortego i think we can politey agree to disagree:) i know that people dont always see things the same way..hheck my husband and me hardley ever agree on anything:D

MsWings i dont think that post about the $1500.00 was towards you, someone earlier posted basically said that if you cant afford $1500.00 for a yorkie look for another breed... i just think thats a little snobby im sure she didnt mean it that way but thats how it appears in the post

Yes thank you for clearing that up Tammy..

You really have nothing better to do than sit around and criticize other people. Yes I may not know a whole lot about AKC certification or the whole process. The puppy was a gift, and I apologize that he didn't come with the idiots guide to AKC certification (so if any of you would like to hand yours over, I would appreciate it). I don't want to be rude, but this post reminds me of high school.
I would like to thank the person who called Judy and it is nice to know that I can fully certify my baby. I was not there when he was purchased up so I do not know what all was said.
As for those who said that i don't want to spend the money to get another puppy, that is also untrue. I have more than enough money to purchase as many yorkies as I want. Money is not the object here. I want to breed my puppy because he has a great personality and I would like to have another yorkie with a similar personality. If it comes down to it I will opt for working with my vet on breeding techniques and purchasing another female to breed him with. I was hoping to get a little bit of help from someone who has a female and has experience with breeding. Obviously though you are all to stuck up to help out someone who does not have experience. I hope this helps put all your childish gossip to rest.
Grow up!

nomlat 09-19-2007 02:32 PM

p.s. sorry that moose is so much cuter than your puppies that you have to criticize me.
