What do you think I sent the person a reply... I'm sure to get hate mail back but OH WELL!

Looks like this person is trying to breed a male she bought on a spay/neuter contract. The breeder obviously did not want him on full akc registration. I hope no one uses him to breed with their female as far as I'm concerned.

That always happens in the Austin one for Chihuahuas.. studding out or looking for a stud....

They are very wrong in what they are doing and very sneaky.... hopefully after they neuter him they get the papers marked limited so they still can't register the litter..... and I bet they made the breeder think they will do the right thing and then go do something like that...... Sad what people do:(

Thats what I put in my reply email to them .... Maybe we should all do that ??? :) think they'll get the hint?

We're hoping that but I'm sure someone with female a female with ignorance at breeding will contact that person... some people just don't know better...

I have a 3.5lb male yorkie that I would like to find a female yorkie to have puppies with. I love my yorkie and only want one puppy to keep for my own. He has a great personality and loves to play. Moose (my toy yorkie) is AKC eligible but I do not have papers and can not get them until he is fixed. Please let me know if you have a female and would be willing to help me out.

Seriously doubt they will get the hint and even more sure they wont give a darn either. I did send them an email though. It just goes to show us breeders how important it is to limit registration to only certain properly approved homes. What they are doing isn't right morally IMO.

Lori I hope they do get the message too, but as I said before I seriously doubt they will even care what we or anyone else thinks. This is one reason why limited registration is so important. Its also another reason why spay/neuter contracts are equally important although they are never 100% fail proof.

That's so wrong... I wish there was a way to find out who the breeder of the dog is and contact the breeder. Maybe someone could e-mail pretending to have a female and ask where she got him so they know what his background is like. Then when she gives the breeder's info, contact the breeder and let them know what is going on

Well that would have been a great Idea for me because I live so close but I can't because I Already sent a reply saying how wrong it is... Anyone want to go for it.

someone should contact this person and ask where she got the dog and say you want a female and love his looks ask for the breeders contact info and then alert the breeder to what is going on...

I would if I had not already told them it was wrong. Is there someone else willing to? I'll call the breeder all you have to do is pretend that you want a puppy :)

Gosh this is sooo wrong for them to do! Just goes to show that even if you sell your pu[s on a Say/neuter contract, people try to breed them before the time allowed is up!

I would be suprised if the male is even old enough to breed yet. Lori I could do it if I hadn't already sent a semi-rude email already...sorry hun!

I did get a responce from them though just saw it. sounds fishy....

I didnt get them from a breeder it was my bfs co worker dog that had an oopsie and the mom didnt let them nurse anymore

i see this on two levels i think..lol

i think oviously she cant get the papers until she agrees to have him fixed, at that point whats the use of having papers.

but what i see is wrong is that she probably did get him and agreed to have him fixed for the papers and is still trying to breed him one time before she gets him fixed and gets his papers. she breaking the contract.

but i dont agree with limited registrations unless there are health concerns (i know 90% of you wouldnt agree) but these are the reasons why i think its unfair to limited registration ( these are just my opinions dont get mad at me:D )

1.) you are advertising AKC registered pups with limited registration there is really no need for the papers other than stating he/she is purebred and i think prices should be dropped because the papers arent doing any good. papers are good for breeding and showing. its nice to see the pedigree of course but you cant put the papers to use of anykind once they are fixed.

you cant show "fixed" puppies right?

2.) if i paid $XXX amount of dollars for a dog, thats my dog i want to be able to do what i want with it and dont want a person putting limits on what i can do with my dog. (sounds juvenile but its true and many people feel that way)

3.) if someone adveritised limited registration i myself will look elsewhere i will not continue looking for a puppy from that breeder. (nothing against the breeder or his/her pups just i dont want limits) Other people want to become possible breeders and i think it wrong to keep people from doing what they want to do

4.)i understand that the "reason" behind limiting the regsitration is so joe blow down the street wont breed a yorkie that isnt standard and sell puppies that are not standard. but i see that as his choice to make no one elses. but i also see it as competetion to the current breeders and i would think that also has a lot to do with limited registration. several breeders that i have coresponded with have admitted this, about prices going down, because more and more people are breeding them so there are more to choose from (not to say the quality is great, most probably arent)

But i do think this person is wrong for trying to "outsmart" the breeder to get another puppy for free basically. Good Luck in stering her in the other direction
