| any other full time students?? How do you juggle homework with your yorkie??? during the week when i'm at class (teacher's college) Layla is with my mom and dad at work so she is busy and by the time i pick her up she is more than ready for a good 2-3 hour nap so i can get readings and such done then... but now is the weekend... my parets are out of town and even when they are in town and at work Layla doesn't go there on the weekends (its my mom's time to get the work done she should have done during the week but was too busy playing with Layla ) so i have her for the whole day which i LOVE, but there is just so much work to be done... she looks at me like i'm ignoring her... so we walk or go play fetch in the back yard but i feel like i'm just playing with her to wear her out.... i feel so guilty... |

| Don't feel guilty. I take Conner for a walk in the park on weekends so that he will nap and I can get some housework and laundry done. If I don't take him to the park, he will follow me all over the house and always be at my feet.

| I agree. I'm full-time working on my Masters and working full-time with a hubby, an 8 year old, and two wonderful fur girls. I try to give everyone some special time. The good thing is...school won't last forever. I try to focus on QUALITY time when I can't guarantee the quantity. I have an advantage, too...my crew keep each other company. Sometimes I think they could get along just fine without me. Try not to feel guilty. She loves every minute you spend with her! |

| You shouldn't feel bad at all! If you ignored him without wearing him out first, then it is neglecting your dog's needs, but you are offering exercise! Wearing them out and then giving them time to sleep is showing your dog love! you are a good yorkie mama!

| I go to Vet school full time and it's been the first time I'm away from Lacy most of the day. I usually have classes from 8-12 in the morning and then I always come home at lunch to let her potty. Mon, Tues, & Thurs I'm gone in the afternoon from 1-5. Wednesday I'm gone 1-3, and Fridays I don't have class in the afternoon except for the occasional exam. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons she goes to daycare, and if I ever can't come home for lunch she goes to daycare all day. I hate being away from her so much. She naps a lot and will usually lay by me on the couch at night and on weekends. I try to play with her some too and take her on walks to I'm not ignoring her all day.

| I'm sure she is loving the time you are giving her and the time when you are not available she is just looking forward in you arrival home. treasure the time together. do something a little extra special with her, like taking her out for icecream or a picinic when you have the chance. I don't have a yorkie yet but I have been looking for one for quite sometime, I have another dog that I do special things with, she loves it and treasures those moments. |

| Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've never had a problem! When I'm doing work, Britney is happy just laying in my lap. Brooklyn normally either amuses himself with toys or plays with the cat. I don't normally have time to take them for walks during the week, so we normally take a couple of long walks during the week. Yesterday we went to a few parks and today we took a nice long walk to the farmer's market. Get a second one!! Hope your student teaching is going well. | I can totally understand you! I go to school full-time, work part-time, and I have a ton of student activities. I don't get home until the wee hours of the morning, but Beau just snuggles up next to me while I do my homework or if he's hyper, I'll take him for a walk around the block inbetween subjects so we both get a little break. If he wants to play, I throw his stuft cat inbetween math problems, so my homework takes a little longer than usual but atleast I'm paying attention to Beau at the same time!!

| I use to, but I am graduated now. Before I would have to take time in between classes to play with them. But lucky for me I did online school, so it was very easy for me to play with them. Most of the time they would be in my lap |

| i know what you mean..i go to school full time, work 15-20 hours a week and do a lot of outside activities (meetings, fundraisers, etc.) Most of the time Lily is great when I am busy doing homework. She plays with her toys or just comes and sits on my lap while I am at the computer. It's tough but all of the hard work will pay off!! Sundays are our fun days so I usually really spoil her then

| Don't feel bad... Not all of us can afford to be with our dogs 24/7. They love us as long we put effort and try to spend quality time with them as often as we can. I work FT too, I try to play with Pepper in the morning before I leave for work and at night, it's an hour walk, and playtime too. I watch TV sitting on the floor and playing with him, and on the weekends, I try to do something special like long walks in the park etc. I have a husband who wants attention as well, and it can get a little tricky sometimes but as long as we mean well and try, it makes up for it

| I go to school full time and volunteer part time, so I know what you mean. I think everyone here has the right idea, spend as much time as you can and don't feel like a bad mommy. I get up early (even on weekends) and take Kiwi to the park or another fun place for at least an hour. We have so much fun together! Then she is ready to take a nap and when she wants to play again is about the time I need a break from homework, so we take a short walk or play or something. Although you are play with her to exercise her, she sees it as fun time with you, so don't feel guilty!
