I would post signs all over saying BIG or HUGE reward if found. A big reward to could be anything. A $100 is a big reward to some... |
That is the saddest story! I feel so bad for that lady. Can't imagine the grieving and lonliness she is going though! I worry about big dogs getting my Maddie when we're out walking, but have never worried about a human stealing her! This story has made me realize that there are so many sicko's out there and to be on my guard. Please tell your aunt's friend I'm thinking of her and her little one and praying for his safe return! Miracles still happen and I hope that is the case here. |
Back when bentley was an "only child" I had taken him for a walk and this guy drove by in a truck and pulls up beside me . He rolled his window down and started asking me all kinds of questions about Bentley. Wanted to know how old the dog was was, then started to tell me it looked like his dog that has been lost for a few months. Told me his dog was a girl and it sure looked like the maltese I was walking. I told him mine was a male and it wasn't his dog. Anyway the incident really spooked me..You just don't pull up to a woman and start quizing her like that. I headed staright home and was afraid to take Bentley walking again for months. Have no idea if the man was telling me the truth or was planning something. I had heard about dognappings before and I was actually pretty worried that guy was up to no good. |
OMG that is terrible :( She must be so worried. I hope someone somewhere sees this dog and calls police .I know she must be totally nervous right now. Someone needs to make flyers ASAP . I pray she gets her baby returned. Genie |
Mine rarely leave my sight! This is why my yorkies never leave my sight even at the groomers and the vets. I don't trust people not to take them. They are worth several thousands of dollars here in California and people know it! I am constantly wary. Unfortunately, I suspect everyone, even people at the dog park. I don't let anyone I don't know even hold one of them. You can never be too careful. How devastating. I would post a $5000 reward poster if my dog went missing. I would gladly pay to whoever found him and brought him back! I think there was a story posted here about a reward like them for amissing yorkie. If her baby was a tiny, it was probably worth that amount. This is so sad! |
This poor woman must be worried out of her mind. Please let her know we're praying for a safe return . i worry when mine even sneeze. We put up cameras in our kennel but bobo and missy stay inside.believe me i'd hurt someone. i realize she didnt see it coming. |
I am completely in shock, I can not even imagine the shock and hurt that this lady is going through. I too NEVER walk Bella off leash outside. We go out every day because she's trained to potty outside but we also have Plato, our other bigger dog with us and I always carry mace with me. I will use it with no hesitation if someone were to try to take Bella from me. I feel so sorry for this lady. I hope her pup finds its way back to her. |
Oooohhh! That is so frightening! Thanks for the warning! |
I wouldn't put a $ amount on the flyer just huge reward. What if the idiot that dog napped him has his buddy return him. If you write huge the person will start seeing $$ signs and your not obligated to pay $1000's of dollars. |
Anytime Maggie is on an outing, she is on her leash. So, if anybody decides to take her, then they are stuck with me too. I don't think they would want somebody like me beating the crap out of them on a daily basis, while Maggie chews on their ankles. |
How sad :( i hope some honest person gets the baby back to her - theres some sick people walking around, this again shows us that we have to watch our furbabies like hawks! |
How Terrible! That is soooooooooo Scary! I never would of thought of that~ That poor woman and poor pup. Amazing what folks are capible of... I'm so sorry for that happening but it has brought some awareness to us all here at Yorkie Talk.... thanks for the post. Melissa & "Baby Sophie" :aimeeyork |
When I was in Atlantic City some guy grabbed my little Tiki, but he just stood there looking at me. I tried to take her back but he just would not give her up. I was with a very strong guy and he took the dog back for me, but it sure was scary. I also was shocked and could not quite believe what was going on, thank God Paul was there! You do have to be so careful. This is a very sad story indeed and my heart truly bleeds for her. Sue |

I've never known or have been able to understand why someone would do this sort of thing. I'm very angered by this but much more devistated and upset. I've seen people walking dogs i really like but I have never once in my life thought of stealing one! that just sickens me. Whenever I'm walking Tucker and someone wants to pet him I pick him up and put my hand through the leash first. unless its someone i know. I feel so terriably for this woman and her baby. oh they both must be so sad right now. I hope a miracle will pull through. my prayers are with her. please please keep us posted and tell us if all goes well. |
I saw a story like this on Pet Nation,, on Dateline,, they stole a little Yorkie , and the owners were quite well off, so they posted signs everywhere that said 1,000.00 reward,,, NO Questions asked,,, and what do ya know they got a call... and an older woman met them handed them their dog and walked away,,, Its about the $$$ , they hope for a reward, or they sell them,, look at the price people pay and charge for Yorkies!! If she has money its worth a shot... It worked for Woody, he was the cutest little thing! |
