My parents have a yorkie with a cottony coat, but he doesn't look anything like that dog. His hair is straight but thick. He also has ears that stand up.

Lacy (mine) is on the left, and Rylie (my parents) is on the right

we got Friday on a Thursday and she was born on a Thursday ... thus ????

Dani23d did you buy the little girl. She is adorable. Once you have her you know what all of us see in Yorkies on YorkieTalk. They are most lovable dog in the world I'm convinced.

my morgan has a cotton coat. its really soft and thick. i don't have the patients like some people on here to really give it the care it needs so i keep morgan in a puppy cut. she looks like a giant poof ball and i love it. her face is really full and she's just so soft. everyone always loves it.

hey dcapper. no, the dog in the pic is the mom of a new litter that will be whelped shortly. the breeder will be selling the litter, but the mom stays with her! LOL i just wanted to know if the soft coat was normal...it made me wary of what the litter's coats were going to look like if they weren't technically purebred. but now that i know this coat is quite normal, i don't need to second-guess the breeder anymore. thank goodness! LOL

You won't regret getting a pup. Remember this though. A Yorkie owns you and you don't own a Yorkie. You'll go to the end of the earth for that dog! I know all of us here would. Have fun when you get your new pup and welcome to YT!

you're right. i just have such a strong inner feeling of wanting a pup! it's almost like how people go through that feeling of wanting a baby...although i haven't reached that point yet! i am just ready to have a yorkie who will steal my heart (and yes, own me too)!

im so glad i joing YT. all i am waiting for is my finances to catch up (i am nearing the end of paying off student loans) and i am looking for the right breeder (there are so many!). i am taking my time with this. no rush. but i am so anxious just reading everyone's posts about their babies!

soon soon soon! ill be ready within the next 3-6 months. i can't wait!

I keep the kids in a schnauzer cut now,
but I am going to have the groomer shorten it a bit ....

If i could get them to stand still -- I'd take a picture, but they both move so much ...

i have morgan in a mock schnauzer cut. i have her body shaved now, but her head and legs longer. No skirt tho. its easier to maintain. i let her hair grow out till its about 2 inches and then i buzz her back down. i'd love to see new pics of your guys

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
