What a sweetie!
I totally agree with this post.... I wonder what these people would say if they saw my 13 LB YORKIE with floppy ears! " Your gorgeous girl is just perfect! I love the floppy ears. I also love to see dogs in their natural state, like yorkies with their tails...I have seen one in the neighborhood and just think it is wonderful. Any size, any variation, yorkies are adorable no matter what! :aimeeyork ~Melody |
I have just got a 'little' girl on sunday and i'm just totally smitten with her..can you tell? LOL anyways..my hubby wanted to show her off today to some friends..i would rather have stayed home as i'm a bit paranoid and protective at the mo.. i met some of my hubbys associates at the police station and the Town hall (my hubby is a Town councillor)..everyone was bowled over by her of course..she's 14 weeks and weighs 1.5lbs and i noticed that people seemed to almost pity her because she's so tiny and i found myself defending her and telling them what a good apetite she has. My Heidi who i lost in may this year was 5-6lbs and she would get rude comments all the time usually idiots calling her a rat..it used to make me so angry..why do people think they can be so rude is beyond me...just rise above these small minded idiots..unfortunatley the world is full of them! |

I just picked up my new little girl yesterday. She's about 2 1/2 pounds and I can't believe how little she is! She's 13 weeks old. Max, my boy is 17 months old and is about 9 pounds. |
I wonder what these people would say if they saw my 13 LB YORKIE with floppy ears! I have never had rude comments made about my big girl but I would just ignore (or try to) someone that would make rude comments to me. The reason is that their comments mean nothing to me and I could care less what they think about my dog. They are apparently insecure about their dogs or themselves, or both.
She's really beautiful! Is she a redhead? Are her ears the way Yorkie's ears are when they're not clipped? There's a really interesting thread on not clipping ears or docking tails. (and about earrings) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...light=earrings |

I am SO sorry this happened to you. I, too, would have been offended and angry. This happens frequently as evidenced by many posters sharing their experiences. It seems there is lots of "competition" with this breed and it is so silly...........especially, coming from grown women!! Let me share some of mine......... When Bobbi was around 14 weeks old, I would get many nasty remarks about him. "Is he pure yorkie?" "He's definitely a mix." "He is too big to be a teacup" (No, idiot, your brain is too small-oh and by the way, there is no such thing!!) For crying out loud, you can't please everyone (not that you are there to please them). He is a 4lb dog........and a very normal/healthy one at that!!.. Yes, maybe he wasn't the typical adorable baby yorkie at that age(at least to some people because he is perfect in every way to me). Now, I don't go to the local petstores to prance around with my pets, nor to please anyone-other than, MY PETS!! I take them to the petstore to enjoy the moment, shop and try things on before I buy. Having said that, I could care a flippin' monkey what those people have to say about my pets. Yes, I take it to the heart sometimes because it hurts.......but I have learned that generally those type of insensitive comments come from shallow-minded, pathetic individuals who have no life and the ONLY reason they are there is to compare their accessories (aka pets) to others. They get a "high" from devaluating yours............simply ill and STUPID  Sorry for the rant..........:D |

I think she is even more beautiful in person! She is actually the same color that is in the photo. I'm not sure what you would call it. LOL Daisy has very thick cottony hair. We got her ears tipped when she was a pup but her hair was soooo thick that her ears didn't stand up. We didn't know anything about taping ears then but I don't think we would have even if we had. Thanks for the link. I don't think they would work on my baby girl because of her thick hair. And if they did you wouldn't be able to see them for all the hair. LOL |
This is a very simplistic reply to the OP. Unless your precious Buster is a show dog in the show ring, or is on public display for the purpose of comments, then it isn't anyone's business. He is your beloved. You think he is the most beautiful Yorkie in the whole world and that is all that matters. Just ignore mean, hateful, ignorant remarks. Remember: Some people elevate themselves by putting others down. What a pitiful shallow person it takes to rob another of their joy in life. EVIL ps. The word "cute" must have been invented to describe Buster :D |

1 Attachment(s) A picture of Buster when I first got him...3 short months ago! Not a great one - had to photoshop out the ex! :D :D |
1 Attachment(s) Here is my 13lb floppy ear girl and heaven forbid someone was to insult her, she would get her feeling hurt as all our friends tell her she is a cutie! She doesn't even know she is a dog...... I would have to tell them to be more sensitive to Pupples (peoples) feelings!!!!;) |
