Well I too just got up and checked this thread first thing...Hopefully they are off to the vet. My experinace with seizures from hypo were very ugly. Diggy did throw his head back a little but there was not near as much stiffening up as a human does. He had 8-9 seizures over 2 weeks and I dont remember him hurting his neck but I can see where its possible. His hypo seizures do not last long normally nothing like an liver compromised baby from what I have read. His were about 10 seconds (seemed like forever tho) Hopefully your baby just has a strained muscle and all will be okay. We will continue to pray for you. |
Looking to see if she took him to the vet and if there are any updates. Please keep us posted we are so worried! |
Checking in to see how your baby is this morning. I hope all goes well at the vet today. Praying for you both.............. |

2 Attachment(s) Hey guys.... I have Trigger home now. He has been at the vet all day. He had to go under anesthesia and get something done to his leg and have a cast put on. He is hypoglycemic, and the vet says that more than likely the seizure is what caused him to rip the ligaments in his leg, which made the whole ordeal 5x's worse for him. They took a million xrays, and the only problem is that right at the bottom of his left paw the ligaments are almost ripped in half. The vet says it is a very easy injury to heal, but he needed this cast to keep it healing in place. I also got nutrical for his hypoglycemia and was instructed to make sure Trigger eats every 3-4 hours. It cost an arm and a leg for everything including the emergency visit last night, and all the stuff today... I was worried that myhusband would be upset that I spent more on vet bills than I did on Trigger himself, but surprisingly when he got home from working out of town this afternoon the only thing he said was how sorry he was I had to go through it all alone, and he he has been holding Trig since then. I have attached some pics of my little guy with his new PINK cast on. I can't believe they didn't have another color. Lol. Thank you all for your thoughts an prayers, hopefully everything heals ok & he is able to get the cast off soon. |
Awww, what an ordeal for both of you! Your husband sounds great! Is Trigger acting normally now? Has he stopped the head tilt??? I'm happy things are looking up and hope you continue to keep us posted. BTW, he's a very manly yorkie boy, even with a pink cast:D |
Wow!! What a scare!!! Yorkie kisses to Trigger and mommy, and more for daddy to be sooo suportive... Hope everything is good with little Trigger... Luna thinks real men wear pink... but Juanito is smiling... My little macho dog!!!:D |
