| We had a chihuahua and a german sheperd when I was a kid. But, the chihuahua was the older and alpha dog when we got the german sheperd puppy. They got along fine. But, I have met many people that were wanting a new yorkie puppy because their german shepard killed the yorkie. I would be very careful. Never leave them alone together and never feed them together. It only take one bite and the yorkie is gone. And if I know yorkies, they love to "challenge" other dogs. Good luck, Lynn |

| We have a German Shepherd (Silas) that did not pass part of his K-9 training (on his narc work he became a little skidish (sp) when the semi passed on the interstate) so.....he did not finish. As some of you know we got him about 8 weeks ago now. Our babies Seth and Sasha do great with him. Silas is much more tolerant of them then they are of him. I love my Seth and Sasha but I wish they listened half as well as Silas. They do mouth each other alot but Silas is gentle. Of course like the other members here we are with them all the time. They are not left alone! I am scared Sasha (yorkie)will hurt (GS) Silas![]() Good luck and I am sure everything will be fine.

| Chuey, your GSD does look like Max and all of them shown here are beautiful. My Dad who died long ago used to come home from work every night and tell us what Shep did that just amazed him. He loved that dog so much (I think that is who I get my love of animals from) and would have my Mom pack something special for Shep every day in his lunch. Shep was there to protect things and was a friend to everyone but a real buddy to my Dad since they made the rounds at night together. Knowing how my Dad felt about that dog, I can just imagine how your husband feels. I so hope it works out for you.

| Well, I rehomed my first breeding girl 9retired0 and gave her to one of my best friends. they have a german Shepard that stays indoors. the shepard and yorkie are best friends but they are also watched closely. on the other end of that, I have another friend that has raised GS almost all her life. now she has yorkies also. a visiting family members yorkie got near the GS and was killed by it. She had to put two nice GS down for the behavior. i might add, the GS that killed the yorkie had never shown aggressive beehavior before. |

| I know I do get upset sometimes when people with children go to a breed that in the past has been trained to fight when there are over 150 other breeds to choose from.....but in this case I think it is entirely different. This dog has been very well trained and should not be easily bothered by the jumping etc of a yorkie pup and if you have started your yorkie in training that will help too. If I were this man I don't think I could live with myself if I did not at least try. This dog have saved so many lives in his job and now it's time to at least try to save his. JMHO

| I have a german shepard who is 8 years old and he was 8 when we got lola... our german shepard has been through alot since he was a puppy he was attacked 3 times by pit bulls... i mean bad so hes very mean iw ould say when he sees other dogs... since its been 5 years since he last attack (thank god I hate ppl that let their dogs run loose ) he has been getting better.. My parents wernt willing to get me lola because they were scared of von attacking her.. but i insist ed he would be fine... when we got her von was actually scared she was so hyper he ran away lol... they are the best of friends von protects her plays with her gentle its the cutest thing... i know every dog isnt the same but von the german shepard took lola as his lil sister to protect... being the dog is a k9 dog hes well trained i think if you taught him they would become the best of friends 2 i hope everything works out!!! heres my 2 babies together
