| Will Her Hair Grow Back??? I taped Kallies ears with medical tape because the masking tape would not stay and I left it on for 3 days and when I pulled the tape of this morning, I WAXED part of her ear. I took the hair out down to the leather.. will it grow back or will she have this forever bald spot. also I noticed for the first time that she has a little chunk of her ear missing. I never noticed it when I was shaving or taping..how could i miss it. could i have done it and there be no blood.. one last thing, both of her ears are up, but one of them flops around when she walks or runs and the other one is like concrete.. what happened? |

| I must say that sounds very painful to have ur hair ripped out by the root especially on the ear. I have never taped my puppies ears with just masking tape or heard of this method for that matter. Gracie has floppy ears and I love her just the same. Lily has pointy ears but I never had to tape them nor do I think I would have even if they would have flopped. Next time if you do tape ears use card board and cut them into triangles to place on each side of the ear and then tape.....never tape ur dogs hair.....Waxing is painful for us humans little lone a poor innocent dog. | Her hair will grow back, and I don't think you could have pulled off a piece of her ear without noticing. Sometime's one stays up, and the other still falls. It should stand up in time.

| I didn't tape them with masking tape I used MEDICAL tape. Everywhere I have ever read said to use Scotch tape but I used medical tape. And I didn't do it on purpose to hurt her. I was told that it would not hurt but when the tape came off it looked like it was painful.. she never made a sound... |

| The chunk out of her ear probably happened as a baby, one of her litter mates mayhave gotten a little rough. Did you shave the ears first? The hair will grow back. The people who showed me how to do it used electrical tape, but they shaved the ears first. then rolled the ear into a little tube, and but the tape around it. I took the tape off three days later and they were perfect. |

| I do not think you tore her ear.. You surely would have seen blood. Her hair should grow back..I have tape my babies ears that way two and it worked..Your babie might be cutting some teeth that is why one is up and one is down.I just retape them for a day and they stood right back up. try some rolled up gauze in side the ear for support.

| My mil said she used to tape her Yorkies' ears up too. But then she said she didn't do it anymore that they would go up eventually. My boy puppy's ears are up already. Our girl has one up and one down. She looks funny. lol They are shaved though and I am sure it will go up eventually. We hope anyway. |

| Ouch! I'm sure the hair will grow back and I'm sure she will forgive you for the accidental waxing too. As for the "missing chunk" I doubt you cut it. Teddy's ear has a little dip almost on each side that looks like it was cut away, and I actually thought I cut it too (with no blood hmmm), but I didn't. It is just the shape of his ear. I will try to get a pic to show you to give you an idea. |

| It will grow back i promise, my breeder taped up Abby's ears before i got her. When i went to pick her up i asked why all the pups ears were bald and they said they accidently waxed thier ears too but Abby's hair has grown back perfectly

| You're absolutely right, I cut a form out of a check book cover, spread with Surgical Glue/eyelash adhesive, add match from a match book in the center. Place the form on the inside of the ear and fold vertically right down the middle of the ear. Holding and pressing until the glue dries. This way you don't have the other little munchkins trying to grab the ears. Another thing to use is breath rite strips. cut in half and use surgical glue and place on the inside of the ear. The hair will grow back.
