So sad! Before I got Lola (from a breeder), I wanted a dog for over a year and visited a couple Pet stores (before I knew) and always left feeling SO sorry for all of the dogs and very down. My boyfriend told me I was no longer allowed to visit them b/c it would leave me depressed for days afterward. I decided I would never support a place like that! Argh...it makes me angry. |
The same thing happened to me. I went into a shop thinking it was a pet supply store and it was not. They sold dogs and all of the dogs were all in one kennel and they had 8 other kennels open. This made me sick and oh so sad. I contacted our Humane Society and they contacted the Health department. I just do not get how people can treat animals like that. |
This should be reported to your local Human Ass'n. - they CANNOT house these pups in situations where they could break their legs. If his leg pops through those holes, that is TERRIBLY dangerous and would be neglect. He could snap it 2 in an instant. PLEASE report this. |

How do we educate the world about pet store puppies!?? It's an overwhelming job. I too once bought 2 puppies from a pet store - I was 23 and didn't know any better. I did get lucky, they were from champion bloodlines, but it still confuses me how any breeder with champion bloodline puppies would sell to a pet store! |
