There is a spray called "Natures Miracle" it can be found at all popular pet stores. It works at masking odors on carpet and I also use it on hard surfaces in the bathroom for accidents!

One time I started using the powder kind, and my older girl ended up with a sinus infection. the powder was the only thing I used different, and she started sneezing the same time I started using it. Febreze has a spray pet oder formula too.

Are you looking to get rid of an odor, or just make it smell nice? I've used regular baking soda on my rug before to clean stains and help remove odors. If you're just looking to make it smell pretty, I'd stay away from the powder. Febreeze has new candles out that I can recommend, the cinnamon one smells divine! They even have the wall plug ins. I find Febreeze products to be the kindest on the noses.

They were $7 at my grocery store. It seemed like a lot for me at first, but I had a coupon. They seem to last a long time, though. I had one burning for at least 7 hours one day during a party, and it was only about 1/4 used. It also fills the air with nice scent, but doesn't overwhelm. I find the yankee candle brand to be a little perfummy and strong, whereas this is just a nice, light and clean smell. I wonder if they'd be a little cheaper at Target or Walmart?
