| Doggy Day CAmp Theres this local place around me thats a doggy day camp, and I went to check it out today. Well they dogs are devided between two sizes, big and small. Well in the small cages thats where Aubrey would be, are the non socalize dogs!!! Thats wrong to me, so Aubrey won't be able to play they will be snapping at them. Well anyways, at this place they keep them outside ALL day, they DON"T come in. They are in the hot sun, and did I mention theres no grassy area its all concrete. So they lady told me to bring him one day for 2-3 hours just so he will be getting use to the concrete, and that his legs will be sore from being on it all day!! I Am NOTNOT NOT going to take my dog to a place, and have his lay and play on concrete all day. How can they be in business??? |

| That doesn't sound like fun for Aubrey either. Kind of like a Doggie DayPrison, huh? I'm glad you decided against it.

| Thats horrible! How could anyone do that? Or pay for that? It should be at nice fenced in area with green grass and maybe some kitty pools. There should also be a place inside to go to incase its too hot or it starts to rain. |

| That sounds horrifying! No grass? I can't believe this, I hope you can find another place or a private home that would work better!

Yeah, I am looking but so far haven't found any in my area. They are like 30 mins away, which isn't bad, but I don't want to have to drive 1 hour the days I take him. | |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | That's just not right and I wouldn't take them there - and I bet they are charging an arm and a leg for the day as well. Trust your instincts - don't take them.

| Oh my gosh! What an awful place! I went to check out a local groomer yesterday and a similar thing happened to me. There was dog howling in the back, two huge dogs just walking around, and not even real grooming tables! Just plain wooden tables. This place has been oversold on appts for up to a month in advance and I can't imagine how! We were also going to do training there, but nope. The place looked awful. Then they were laughing about how McKenzie is a little FOO FOO dog. Oh isn't that funny? She has a bow in her hair! Uhm, aren't you guys GROOMERS, see ya! Isn't it nuts how places like that stay in business? I'm so glad you followed your instinct, that place sounded no good. |

| Woah sounds to me like that completly defeats the purpose of going to one of these places...Bruce goes to daycare twice a week. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas with toys, and an indoor resting area with nice furniture. The outside area has a sandbox to dig in, some cement under a shaded area, grass and a wading pool. The dogs get one individual walk per day with one of their "teachers," and on Thursdays for $7 extra they can go on a field trip, last week they went to a heated dog pool...Now I feel like that is worth paying for, but I would never pay to take him to an over priced animal shelter, he is better off at home alone!

| I'm glad you didn't take them there. I wouldn't either! That's terrible! You would think there would have to be some grass for them to play in. People get by with so much. If you lived closer I would watch the furbabys.

| That sounds awful, Aubrey would be better off at home than there. I hope you manage to mind a much better daycare or doggy minder for him. |
