| I'd probably add a sign on your gate near the latch-- one of those BEWARE OF DOG signs would work, just so that anybody who goes to enter the yard is aware of the dog and doesn't enter the yard unless they know where the dog is. One of my neighbors when I was a small kid nearly lost their German Shepherd when the gas meter guy entered the yard while the dog was out there with the family's little boy. Their dog wasn't aggressive, but when someone was trespassing near her kid, she backed the meter guy into a corner and nearly bit him. There was a big fuss over it, but thankfully the animal control officers in our town sided with my neighbors in saying that she was only being the protection dog that she was born to be, and the gas guy should have been more careful. They put up one of those signs on their fence though, and from then on the meter guys would knock and ask them to take the dog out of the yard before they went back there.

| BANNED! | I don't think I would call, but a note would be much better. I'm sure it wasn't intentional accidents do happen. Thankfully your baby is okay and was a good girl and didn't wander off so really no harm done that a note wouldnt cure. I actually adore my UPS lady and so do my furkids, she leaves them treats with every package. My border collie actually goes to the truck if we are outside to get her treat, then she comes right back home. They get so excited when she pulls up. |

| Thank you all for your feedback. I decided to call UPS, because I'm pretty sure either this was a substitute driver or a new driver, as normally packages are left on my front porch. My house sits on a hill, my porch is covered & some shrubs in front of the house generally block packages from view. Of course the only UPS number in the phone book is the 800 # - as soon as I got a person I asked for the local number & I was told there wasn't a number they could give me. The girl listened to my story, asked for the tracking # on the package & my phone number & told me that someone from the local office would call me back by the end of the business day today. I thought - yeah sure, but my phone rang about 5 minutes later & it was a gentleman here locally and he said he would be in contact with the driver's supervisor & the driver would be told of my concern that they be careful when leaving a package. I just don't want to get anyone in trouble because I know it wasn't on purpose. (My gate has been giving me problems ever since my lawn guy came the last time - he somehow changed the latch around & this morning I could hardly get the darn thing to open!) Now if I could just stop ordering things that have to be shipped! That darn HSN!
