| ![]() This was taken after he started losing weight. He developed diabetes and went on insulin and a drastic diet. Had to cut out his wine (he would literally yank the glass away from me and stick his head in and drink it-but only liked the blushes), cherry koolaid, Malibu and coke (he did enjoy his happpy-hour, lol) and all his treats. Had to go on a nasty prescription diet. It was devastating to him at first, but he adjusted and even let me know when it was time for his shots. At the height of his "fighting weight", he wa 30 lbs and 36 inches long (tip of nose to tip of tail).

| ![]() Seeing these posts makes me feel alot better about my Rocky. In April my vet noitced that he didn't seem to close one eye. Alot of testing was done but no cause was ever found. A couple of months ago it looked like the inner eyelid was coming down when he was relaxed on his back but for awhile there, it didn't look like his eye closed and I was concerned. All you saw was the white. It's comforting to know that other dogs seem to sleep like this. At the time I wondered if Rocky was getting any sleep at all! I'm going to mention this to my vet. I wish I had known how common this is at the time! |

| ![]() Do any of you notice if both the eyes close when you stroke underneath them. One of Rocky's doesn't seem to and I was told he has some kind of facial paralysis. As I said, it seems like now the inner eyelid does come down when he sleeps. Don't know how you ladies were able to get those photos - every time I try to look at Rocky when he's sleeping to see his eye, he wakes up! |

| ![]() Yes Indy does this sometimes, it really freaks me out. Last night she was sleeping with her eyes open, I was watching her and then all of a sudden she started barking, in her sleep! Frightened the life out of me! |
