| At barely over 4 lbs, my Sissy isn't as tiny as Tiffy - but she is very small in body size as well. Size was an issue for me in deciding on another Yorkie because I didn't want Sissy to get hurt with someone bigger than she is. She can usually hold her own, but it is a totally different story when you're talking meet-up vs. a permanent fixture At 10 months of age, Angel is a little over an inch taller, two inches longer and almost a full pound heavier, though really skinny in comparison. Angel likes to play constantly and roughly and is constantly jumping on Sissy and biting her. Sissy gives it right back but will cry to be held when she has had enough and Angel is still rarin to go!!!! Angel is also a major jumper and has just started to take a flying leap off the couch (or bed) trying to jump on Sissy on the floor. Needless to say, this is NOT okay, so we are scolding whenever we see her setting it up. I do worry very much about Sissy being hurt still. I know Angel is stll a pup, but she plays and plays and plays, then plays some more and Sissy just doesn't want to be as active as Angel is. When it comes to much larger dogs, Sissy usually hides. We have a good friend with a Sheltie who comes over frequently. Angel loves playing with her and occasionally gets kind-of pounded on by the Sheltie. Sissy does not playing with her and will either hide or want to be held. Good luck with whatever you decide.

| Donating YT 11K Club Member | To me size matters if you have to go out and leave them alone together. Since Sophia and London are so close in size i feel comfortable leaving them together, they are about 1/2 lb apart. They play and get along great but sometimes like to wrestle but that's ok cause they are close in size. Teddy is bigger so i separate them when i go out, right now he is at my bf's house cause London is on her heat but when he is here and im not home i do have to put him in another room since he is so much bigger.

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have 2 Yorkies and a pom. The pom was 13 lbs, until she got sick and Cali is 5 lbs. I got Pixie in January fuil grown at 3 .3 lbs and she rules the house. She pulls Cali's leg out from under her and pushes her up against the wall and she jumps on Maya and we have had no problems. Maybe try and get a quieter, more laid back puppy.

| Thanks! that is good to know. Is one of them a tiny though? I just see my Tiffy so small and fragile... or perhaps I am just too overprotective.

Tiffy sends him a big yorkie hug!! You are right, forget other furkids, just people are enough of a hazard to my Tiffy. Always have to make sure I dont accidentally step on her or that she is not handled too roughly by others. Overprotective mom syndrome I think...

| My maltese isn't as tiny as your yorkie, but she is tiny, in my opinion. Emma is just under 4 lbs, and Miko is almost 11lbs, and I have no problems whatsoever with them. He is very gentle with her, even though she's a big bully to him Emma pushes Miko around. But Miko came first...We had him for almost 3 yrs before we got her. What size is the yorkie that you're thinking of getting? I think it depends on the new pup's temperament...If he's extremely fiesty and much bigger, your little one might get hurt by accident, but if he's docile and friendly, I don't think you will have a problem. But if you're really concerned about size, I would get a pup that's at least 6-9 months old or maybe a little older to make sure that he will stay the size that you want.
