| Bath with just being neutered? I asked the vet about Aubrey taking a bath. He had his surgery last Thursday, and they said it was fine I just can't soak him in the water, and I have to be gentle when drying him off. Did anyone bathe there baby while they still had stitches in? |

| I was told absolutely no bathing until the stitches were removed or there was a water proof bandage over the stitched area. |

| Hehe, it was torture for me to wait to bath Emma when she was done with the stitches. She looked grungy, LOL. |

| Ok. I was confused, bc I have never heard of letting a dog sit in water, so maybe they meant just no bathes, that I could sponge bathe him, if necessary. |

| I'll bet so..... on the sponge baths. My Vet said "nope" to real baths.

| Oh, and I asked the vet about checking the micro-chip. I put that in the AVID thread.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I didn't read through any of the other replies, but PLEASE do not bathe your baby while the stitches are still in. I know it's annoying, but please wait. Tatum had her stitches out 11 days after her spay (was supposed to be 10 days, but the 10th day fell on a Sunday - so she had them out the following Monday) - anyway...I bathed her the day AFTER she had her stitches out. Please wait until they are out before you bathe your baby or put him in any water!

| Please wait until he has had the stitches out, if the area gets wet then the stitches could loosen and the wounds might pop open. |
