My mom has had a yorkie for about 4 years now, her name is Haley. And Tim and I have had Avery since the beginning of June. She is 4months old and is our Life!! Love her soo soo much!! We are going to get her a sibling in a couple months, as well. Absolutely LOVE dogs, but Yorkies in general are the best!! so sweet. :heart79:

My first 'baby' was my darling Heidi who passed away in may of this year.
I bought her when i was just 19 and was going through a bit of a tough period in my life..she was there when i met my future husband..was present at our wedding..and was there to welcome home our new born son from the hospital, he is now aged almost 13.
We had 14 long happy years together and had so many experiences..she practically went everywhere with me and to say goodbye to her was just about the hardest thing i have had to do to date. I'm welcoming a new little baby girl into my life in just 2 weeks time..and i hope i have that same companionship for many years too.:aimeeyork

Spanky is my first yorkie. I got him on July 2, 2007 - a day before my 7 year wedding anniversary. He's a gift that keeps on giving!;)

Well, we bought our first yorkie 2 weeks ago. Like I said in my introduction to YT. I have always had schnauzers and still have 2 females. When we brought Kayla home at 8wks. I was afraid they might be jealous but they love her. They just can't get off the beds or couchs for long before being chewed up. She is a 10wk. old ball of fire, and we love her and spoil her to death. I just ordered her a pink playpen so we can get some much deserved rest. lol!!!

Yorkie-owned since December 2005 - and, I can't imagine being "owned" by any other breed ;)

I got Cooper on my birthday in Aug of 06'....he was 1 in June of 07'. He is the love of my life!!!

:D I got my first YT in March. Sammy was born Jan 23/07. I bought him as a companion for my 2 yr old doberman (very gentle), I have since fell head over heels in love with him and Keysha, my dobi has too. Sammy lives up to the YT breed he is a very big dog in a little body, my brave little boy takes on my Doberman and is the boss and does not share his toys with Keysha. He struts his stuff, head in air and takes her toys. I love his pride. He loves people, and I was afraid he would be very vocal (yappy), but he barks only when the doorbell rings. He is seven mths old now, and I've searched may websites for color changes, he has gone from black to a sooty top to a creamy beige. Will this darken? Is he now full grown at seven months? He weighs just under 5 lbs. As I've never owned a YT before, I curious, and would love to see baby pics with grown up YT pics if anybody has some to share. Thanks!

i'm a first time pet owner, i got chopstix march 2007 when he was 3 months. the whole family absolutely loves and adores him! he's changed our lives so much. its like he brought some happiness into the family!! love him dearly!!

and so, me and my bf are thinking about getting chopstix a brother pretty soon. hehe
