No Longer a Member | Back from camping Well, we went camping for 3 nights in Sequoia this past weekend, and we had taken Chloe with us. We kept her on a tie-out to keep her from wandering away from the campsite. It worked out wonderfully. It was so cute to see her try to chase the chipmunks and the birds. But like a dumb-dumb, I forgot my camera, so we have no pictures of the trip! The only bummer is that Chloe now has had a couple of bouts of diarrhea . I don't know what it is from, but I have a little medicine left from the last time she had it, so she's on that. Other than that, it was really a lot of fun to go camping with her! If anyone is thinking of it, I highly recommend getting the tie out to keep them from wandering away. We also had an instant tag made at Petsmart that had the campsite number on it--as cell phones don't work up there--just in case she did manage to wander away from camp. |

| Glad you had a great time and shame on you to forget the camera. I have done that several times too. Great idea about the tag. Last edited by Shadow; 08-22-2007 at 08:49 AM. |

| WE love Sequoia National Park & Kings Canyon. Which camp site did you camp out at? Did you tent it or have an RV? Were going up again next month to enjoy the fall weather and color. |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | OK - what's a tie-out? Any pics so that I can see??? Ahhh...too bad about forgetting the camera...we've all done that. Glad that everyone had a good time, and ditto on the PetsMart tag - I never would have thought of that one.

No Longer a Member | We camped at Lodgepole, site 182 (we've been to that site for 4 years now). We have been to Dorst one year, but the black bears are EXTREMELY active there, and we prefer the more "civilized" atmosphere of Lodgepole. We tent camp. If we go again next year, we'll probably get a second tent for the kids or get one bigger tent. |
