| Finally Trinket Is Home!!! Hello all. I just got Trinket from the airport. And she seems to be doing fine but, I have a small problem. Introducing her to Gizmo. Gizmo is over anxious and she doesn't seem to want to be bothered. I think it's because she knows this isn't her family. I don't want to keep Gizmo in a seperate room. He is going crazy in here just while I type this knowing that the puppy is in the living room with my daughter. But, if I keep him away too long he will be overly anxious. How can I introduce? Help!!!

| I would just hold her on my lap first, and then have Gizmo come up on you, and say,"BE Nice!" and slowly introduce them. Then put the new one on the floor and then Gizmo and say the same thing. As soon as Gizmo does something wrong, say "NO" in a very firm voice and pick up the new puppy! When Gizmo is nice to her, Praise him to kingdon come! Pick Gizmo up and love him and tell him what a good boy he is. You will have to watch real close for a while until the new puppy grows a bit! Pat |

What can I do about him trying to hump on my Trinket and constanly trying to lick her privates? Ewwwww What can I do? I must try to remember that even though they are my babies that they are still animals but, it bothers me.

| This is how Chachi was when we introduced Jewels. We held her and let him sniff her for a while untill he calmed down.

Great advise !! I also held mine ALOT together - one on each side and just talked & kissed on them so Chanel wouldn't be so jealous - it really helps and did take about a month for her to warm up to Cheri.... Congratulations on your new Trinket ! | |

| Guess you missed the thread on humping! Find him a stuffed toy about the same siza as the new pup thenwhen he starts replace the pup with the toy! Dogs will be dogs and its amazing how many have toys just for that purpose. Hard to type with 2 dogs on your lap! Love it though. Windy and Lida Rose Love the name! |
