| Is this normal??? I have never read or heard of a dog doing this so I am just curious....My pup will go drink water and it never fails she has to hop up on you right in your face and burp in your face.....and this is not a little burp it is one that could compete with my husbands......everyone thinks that I am crazy when I tell them what she does till they hear it and I was just wondering if I had a weirdo or what :P I can see if she chugs water and had a little one fine but hearing this HUGE sound from such a little body just is beyond me....plase llet me know if there are other crazy pups out there...... | Many years ago I owened a rottie, my first pup and boy did I baby her. She was always coming up in burping in my face even as a adult. Then one day I realize as a tiny puppy after each meal I woul pick her up and burp her like a baby. So thats why she would no matter where she was would run to mommy and burp. Seems silly but I quesss I trained her to do that. lol |

| Oh no it does come out of that end too and it is deadly.........Now that I think of it I did rub her belly whenever she drank when we first got her......maybe she thinks it is the norm...or likes the laughter seeing that it is so funny we cant help but laugh.... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | lol...That's so CUTE !!! Chanel knows when she finishes playing outside in the hose... I sit and patting her on the back to burp her before she gets into the bath. She is a very accomplished burper !! it ALWAYS cracks me up when I hear her.... |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Our girls do the exact same thing...it never fails, as soon as they drink water and need to burp, they will come over into your lap and give you a loud, gross burp...but it is so funny that we never say anything to them....

| Jenefor, I would say it is time you taught her how to say "wellllll, 'scuse me!" Gimme the burps anytime. It does sound like you have a point about the tummy rubbing. Try putting her down and make her stay til you wipe her mouth with a napkin.. Jmo--jus kiddin' |
