| I don't know of any breeders, but I just wanted to say that I've heard from knowledgable breeders that large ears and long noses are a dominate trait and VERY hard to breed out. Hopefully some of the breeders on this site can give you more advise.

| I would try re posting this in the breeder section. I do know that it will be hard to find a dog a specific size, because a breeder can only guess that size it can be. Like my dog Aubrey is 12 lbs, and the breeder said he would NOT be more than 7 lbs... |

| From what I understand you have to have all the traits of the breed in both the male and female to produce a good litter. Plus you have to have all the tests done.

| I could be totally wrong about this but I think I have read that the bitch shouldn't be any older than three for a first breeding. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. How old is your girl?

| Like the others said, even if you have a perfect male, the pups can have the traits of the mother. A male you use for breeding will mark your house too. Having a litter of puppies is wonderful if all goes well. If not, it can be a heartbreaking , gut wrenching experience. Huge vet bills with a emergency c-sec and no sleep for days if the pups don't nurse and you have to feed them. You also will be responsible to find forever great homes for your pups, offer a health guarantee, and be able to answer all the questions your buyer will have. As I write this my friend just called, and her dog is due today and is having a green discharge. 95% of the time that means a pup has detached from the wall of the uterus and should be born within a few minutes. Her dog in NOT in labor at all, and the last time she had a green discharge too, and 1 pup was dead and 1 alive. ( with a C-sec.) She is very upset and is rushing into the vets right now. She just told me NEVER AGAIN, Mia is getting spayed, this is to upsetting. You need to ask yourself, why do I want to have a litter of puppies ? Am I starting out with the best healthy and quality sire and dam? Do I have the time to raise the pups, and the $$ if things go wrong? Do I want to put my female dog at risk? Do I want to deal with people coming to my home to see the pups and am I able to answer all the questions about the health and care of the pups. If a genetic problem occurs in the future on a pup, am I able to refund the people's $$ or replace the puppy. Just a few things to consider.... |

| Sounds like you are on the right track and not jumping into it Just for a update my friend lost all 4 pups with the C-sec. That normally never happens, but in this case it did, and she is over the top upset..... |

| i was just reading about that it sounds like there is something fishy going on there like something the vet did wrong i am soo sorry to hear this i hope her furbaby heals up okay and yup im definatly not jumping into this i want to be very prepared first since there are so many risks involved thats one of the reasons that i want to get a smaller stud i have found alot around near my area but there are way bigger yorkies and i dont want her to get big pups that might get stuck in the birth canal lol im parinoid but i guess in some aspects thats a good thing. |
