| Events! Anyone Have An Idea??? Ok, I keep seeing people talk about the events they have gone to with their dog and how much fun they have ect ect. Im just wondering if anyone knows of a site I can go to or something where I can see what events are in my area, or if anyone knows of any events in southern ca. or las vegas nevada area. |

| There's quite a few animal events and fundraisers that take place in the Palm Springs area all year long and they list them in the newspaper all the time and also in the local glossy magazine. Maybe you could look in the online newspapers of places you'd like to go and see if and when they have anything going on.

| I'm not in your area at all - but I would suggestion checking your local shelters or rescue groups. Here in Iowa the Animal Rescue League and a no-kill shelter, Animal Lifeline of Iowa have special events that they list on their websites. Sometimes they list events that are fundraisers for their organization & say whether pets are welcome. Other events include dog shows & pet expos that are going on in the area The other going on around here in the next week or so are dog swims - the local pools start closing down with school starting they let the dogs come in & swim the last night Also, I would suggest go to www.meetup.com - maybe you'll find a group in your area - or put the word out that you are looking for others to meet - either yorkie or small dog owners I'm excited because on Thursday I get to take my furbabies to work for a Dog Days of Summer event - they will only be there for a short time - but I'm excited.
