| I use to tell them what I paid, but since I moved here and now know about break ins and stealing yorkies, I dont anymore. 2 people asked me in this neighborhood and I lied, I told them I got them for free from a breeder friend lol no one really needs to know how much we pay for our furbabies.

| It almost feels dangerous to wave your dog's price tag around... especially if you tell the wrong person who wouldn't mind making a quick buck. :P I have a silver spotted bengal, and I get the same question pretty often. I usually say something like "too much!" as a joke, but avoid saying how much he really was unless I know the person pretty well. But even then, it is uncomfortable sometimes. Too many people seem to get so upset at the idea of paying a certain amount for an animal. Of course, there are those who are against having any animal that wasn't rescued from a shelter too. I do have two rescue/shelter cats, and donate, etc - shouldn't I be able to get a pedigree animal if I want to without someone trying to make me feel guilty?
