I get quite irritated when people ask me how much my little ones were. So to make my point, I ask them how much they make in a year instead of answering them! Usually, they get the hint! |
We were in a shoe store where there were 3 young sales associates, and they asked how much we paid for Lulu. As soon as we told them, they started flapping their lips. One even said that her aunt paid twice as much (obviously trying to one up us), and said ours might have health issues. I replied that she was just taken to the vet and was extremely healthy. Then she asked if we could breed her with her neighbor's dog which I replied she is way too small to breed. I we got this question a couple of times. Very weird people out there. |
I hate questions like that, but there are always people that think this is appropriate to ask. My answer is always, "I'm not sure, actually. My husband bought them for me!" If they press on, I will usually concede that they are expensive, but no given dollar amount. |
Hers a good one to pass on and it works:D I always say only 100.00 and they drop there mouth open and say omg is there any more ? and then grin as big as you can and say NOPE I got the last one:p :p :p |
I got a lot a flack from my Co-workers about how much I spent on Lilly. I get the usual: "That's a waste of money" "You could get a dog for 200 dollars or less at the humane society" or "Wow that's cheap for a yorkie, Britney Spears got one for 3,000$ " :mad: There is a girl at my work who just bought a iMac laptop and was talking about how her purchase was a better use of money I said to her: "Your computer will be obsolete in 3 or 4 years, where as my dog will still be with me for 15 years." That shut her up. :p |

It depends whether they're asking seriously or just to make a stupid comment. I'll tell anyone who is sincerely wondering, but to some random person, I just try to say, "not as much as he is worth." |
I would say she was a gift or she's priceless!! ALthough I don't really care what anyone thinks of how much I paid for them as they were more than worth it. |
I always tell people that Lacy was a gift so I don't know. She was actually a gift but I do know how much she costs, but it's nobody's business and i don't like telling people what she cost. |
