| I just did a poll on this subject under "Polls". It is called, "What high quality food do you feed?". Some people use Innova which might be made by the same company as Karma. Others use California Naturals, Orijen, Natural Balance... From what I have seen, a lot of people here feed Canidae.

| I see a lot of people use the brand Canidae, where do you buy it at and what kind do you get? |

| www.canidae.com It is sold at our local Pet Supplies Plus. The three main kinds are regular All Life Stages, Lamb and Rice and Chicken (and Rice?). I think the first one I listed has more meat in it. If you go to their site and click on Dog Food something or other, it is the first one on the list. Another site you could go to is www.dogfoodanalysis.com. Four and five star foods are usually good for Yorkies. Six star foods are the best but some people believe that they are too rich or too high in protein for Yorkies.

| Homecooked! lol We were using Science Diet until I discovered all the nasties in it. We were switching to Canidae but the recalls were getting scary so we started homecooking. I think she was allergic to the lamb in the Canidae. Ellie does need kibble for grazing, so we will probably get her some Canidae Chicken. I really like this brand because all of their ingredients are from the US. I just found out the other day that some of Innova's premixes come from China (this is what I wanted to get for her). Well, she won't be getting that. I am also looking into Orijen.

| I just want to add that I am not saying Innova is a bad food. I am just not comfortable with Chinese vitamins. So, let me rephrase myself. I think Innova is a good to great food and they do lots of quality testing, I just can't personally feed it.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I feed mine California Natural and they like it. I feed the lamb and brown rice wet and dry. The dry comes in a small kibble as well

| I should have probably finished the list that I started of foods I've seen people feed here. Solid Gold Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul Merricks Wellness Nature's Variety Frozen Medallions Artemis Honest Kitchen Evo Evangers (usually canned) That is about all I can remember for now. This is like the sixth time I've posted in this thread. I think I need to go to bed.

| We feed our Rott, Gunnar and our Choc Lab, Raider, Canidae. Their vet could not get over the difference when he saw them. We use the All Life Stages. We plan on putting Brodie on it as soon as possible. Joyce & Brodie China Spring/Waco, Texas |

| I would add Flint River Ranch dog foods - all natural, very easy to digest - digestion plays a huge part in the health of the dog. Also, Sojourner Farms makes a human quality raw grain and supplement mix to which you add water, meat and vegetables. It is quick, easy and offers a balanced raw diet. Here's a good link on nutrition from a holistic vet http://www.apvet.com/nutrition.html

I was looking into the Orijen. I am going to a local pet store around my house to see what they carry. I might also try some homecooking. | |
