| Breeder Health Contracts I have noticed that a lot of breeders offer a health contract. Exactly what does one say? Does it guarantee the health of the dog at the time he/she is released to the home? Or does the guarantee last for one, two, or more years? |

| I would imagine each one is a little different. I don't know what they guarantee for sure. I got one with Penny, but never really read the whole thing.

| The one I got was for one year and guarenteed against congenital health faults......which would cover heart murmurs, liver shunt, etc. It wouldn't cover problems from poor feeding, not vaccinating, etc. The contract also said that in cases of neglect, abuse or mistreatment the dog would go back to the breeder. I'll have to find it and post it (with permission) Angela <>< |

| I found only one under the "guarantee" button. Am I allowed to copy this and give to the breeder? Last edited by puppy_Love08; 08-17-2007 at 03:11 PM. |

| sorry. mine is copyrighted. But your breeder should have one. it isn't your responabilty to provide it. if she doesn't have one, then keep looking. Last edited by Sugar's Mom; 08-17-2007 at 04:15 PM. |

My breeder has been breeding Yorkies for about a year. He (a vet) and his wife have never been asked for one but said they would be willing to sign one. Perhaps I can put one together for them. | |
