| Pet stairs Has anyone here tried pet stairs? You know those stair things for small dogs to get on beds, ect. I was thinking of getting one, but not sure if Vickie will use it. She's used to being picked up. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Yeah, my guys love them. I like them so much I got one set for the couch and another for the bed. They had no problem learning how to use them. Just ply them with treats.

| My boyfriend got Toby some at Walgreens for $10 and they work great. Especially since the bed is high. They are very light weight and easily movable. He couldn't use them at first but now that he is older, he knows how to jump and uses them to get up and down by himself.

| ok- I have a question..... how did you all get your Yorkies to USE them? Lex thinks its quicker to simply jump! She doesn't have the patience to take one step at a time- lol!! I did buy a set when she was a baby- and they are currently sitting in my attic.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I got 2 for Marcel bc he's a 2.10-pounder. They're the ones from Walgreens and look similar to Alaska Yorkies. I LOVE 'em - it didn't take much to teach Marcel, he's been using them since his 1-pounder days. We have them for our sofa and for our bed.

| Tetley has the "doggy steps" for getting up and down off my bed and he uses them countless times every day. I don't know what I'd do without them. I got him to use them by putting a treat on each stair, one by one, so that he would get the idea of climbing them. I used the command "use your stairs!" when he'd be on them and praise him a lot. It took him a while to remember that the stairs were there, but I just refused to pick him up anymore and just kept repeating "go use your stairs!" and he got the idea after a few days and a few reminders. Now he bolts up and down those stairs like nothing. |
