| Look what my Furbaby just did!! Please Help!! Buddy found an ink cartridge for my color printer and before I realized it he had bitten through it ...he left the cartridge laying on my BRAND NEW sofa. The ink leaked and has ruined my sofa. I could just cry!!!! I have tried everything....nothing is taking the ink out. Any suggestions? I was just getting ready to look in the Yellow Pages to see if a professional cleaning service might could help me. Oh....Buddy is fine....he evidently did not of like the taste of the ink and left the cartridge laying. (he has no ink on him...thank goodness) Can anyone help?

| Oh no!I would take the cushion cover off and soak it in the sink with dishwashing liquid..ie dawn over night. Good luck! Also did he digest any of this ink? |

| I am so sorry that happened, but if it's brand new, I would go with the professional service and not mess with it. You might set it in worse. So sorry.

| oh, thats enough to make your stomach hurt. Maybe call the place you got it and see if they can replace it if you can't get the ink out. I'd be googling the heck out of "how to get ink out of upholstry".

| You can try GOOF OFF for fabrics, but be careful as you may end up setting the stain with trying different chemicals. I dont know what else may work because my house is turning out to look like a dorm since my babies are "creative". good luck.

| I have a white sofa that my Lilly just loves and in her last heat she laid all over it! Well my cushions have zippers and I removed them and threw them in the washer with woolite and cold water, It came out so great, I did the whole couch. Hope yours has zippers too. an if you are afraid of washing it you could always bring it to the dry cleaners, maybe the will even take it if you can't remove the insides! Good Luck

| did you get scotch guard protection on the couch when you bought it? If so they have a 5 year guarantee. If you had it put on at the furniture store, call them they could tell you how to contact the place to get it cleaned for free. If not, then if you can take the cover off take it to the cleaners, they may be able to get it off. I know they got a bad stain off my moms couch cushion.

| You might contact the store that you got it from, the fabric looks like maybe delicate. I have found Dawn dishwasing liquid to be amazing at removing almost anything. But be careful it is true that different chemicals can actually set the stain.

| "hair spray" will take ink out of material. It works great if you get ink on your shirt/dress. Spray the hair spray on, wait a couple of minutes then dab with cotton cloth.

| I was thinking of taking the cushion cover off and soaking it but I am afraid the stain will "run" and make it worse. I am soooo torn....all the professional services are currently closed. If I leave it alone the stain will really set in over night and if I soak it the stain might "run"!!!! Grrrrrr!!!! I don't know what to do!!!

By the way, I tried many other techniques.....vinegar, alcohol, "As Seen on TV" ink remover, hair spray, baking soda, etc....its just such a bad stain that its gonna take a miracle!!! Again, thanks for all the suggestions!!! Wish me luck!!!
