Oh YIPES:eek: I hope that comes out, that is a nice sofa! How's Buddy look?!? If it doesn't come out, maybe you could have new cushion covers made;) |
where did you get the sofa Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply. |

you've had lots of good suggestions, but I'm wondering if you could check with the makers of the ink cartridges - maybe online. This can't be the 1st time someone had one leak - maybe there is something that the company knows will work on those kinds of ink. If you had it scotch-guarded or protected 1st I would think you have the warrenty for it to be repkaced. Did you get anything from the maker of the couch on how to remove stains from that type of fabric? If all else fails - it looks like this is an end cushion - switch your end cushions - turning the stained one upside down so it faces the bottom of the couch. After it dries of course! |
Edit: Yorkiesmiles is right, switch the cushions.......... |

I’ll go ahead and blame it on “old” age, just because I can….. |
Yike:eek: . First, I'm so glad Buddy is ok. As for stains, I have gotten pure paint tint (from work) out of some of my light colored clothes using Simple Green, Mean Green, dishsoap, comet, and some other stuff and elbow grease. But, I don't know if that would work on your couch cover. I had nothing to lose, so I just went to town with anything I could think of. With something as beautiful as your couch, I think I would check with a professional. Good luck. Or, just a thought, can you possibly just replace that one cushion at the place you got the couch? |
Ouch that's a bad place, and red too. I'll cross my fingers for you. A lot of people swear by Plain ol' Borax...I don't have a clue. |
I'd either call the store for advise, or call a professional. |
K - here is a suggestion if the stain does not come out....I'm a believer of calling customer service - call them where you got your sofa or I would call the manufacturer directly and explain....even if you had to pay something I wonder if they could just send you a new section cover for the one that's damaged with ink? Worth a try - EDIT: I fogot to tell you - I tried to clean a white section of my sofa myself once it got stained and it made it worse so I ended up having to get a new sofa - (mine didn't have zippers). :-( But it wasn't from Izzy - it was from someone spilling coctail sauce all over my white sofa. No more white for me! |
I Looks like it is already on the end where the stain past goes down, looka the the pic again. Maybe she already switched it ,I was thinkin how did it get on the bottom. Quote:

1 Attachment(s) Ok gals...it soaked all night and most of it came out. I am thinking I will continue to soak it today.....maybe the rest of the ink will come out. Its not completely out but at least it is better than it was!!!! If it doesn't come completely out...I am going to call the manufacturer. I had the sofa custom made so perhaps I can get the cover replaced. As some of you have suggested...I can always just turn the cushion over. But it would be nice to get the stain out. Thanks for all your suggestions!!! I will keep ya'll posted!!! |

I use Oxi Clean for things like this. I have never had it not get a stain out and I don't care how bad it is. Best of luck! |
