size If I recall correctly...the pup was 2 pounds at 8 weeks. So they breeder had to know it would gain more then 1 to 2 pounds. If the pup had weighed 1 pound and just had a growth spurt for some rason then I would say they made an understandable mistake. |

Our breeder said Gracie would be no more than 5 pounds. She is now 8.2 pounds and has been at that weight for about four months. She will be a year old in July. I figure she is done growing. At this point, I could not care less if she weighed more - SHE IS OUR PRINCESS! What upset me about the breeder was that she keeps promising to send the AKC papers so I can register Gracie and guess what, I have never received them... Again, I don't care if Gracie is registered or not and I will not be showing her, obviously, but I don't think the "breeder" is reputable! |
Baileys mother was 6 pounds and his father was 5 pounds,, I saw them both, He is 1 year old and 13 pounds.... there are NO guarantees of how they will turn out, You just dont know.. But I love him no matter what!! :D She should NEVER have promised you anything and the whole TEACUP thing irritates me to NO END!! |

I have a male Maltese (7 lbs) and a female Yorkie (2.6 lbs) and they really play ROUGH! My little Yorkie Katie leaps off the couch on top of my Maltese Codie. They chase each other and play tug-o-war w/ toys. They even play fight over greenies and peanut butter. But every night they sleep in my bed together and Codie is ALWAYS kissing and licking Katie. They really love each other. I think it's in a dogs nature to play rough. |

At 1.5 lbs...Syd could jump up and down off the couch and chairs. Now at 4.5 lbs she can almost make it over the baby-gates. Sigh  ! So I guess that means I'll have to buy new higher baby-gates soon. |
