| Question about lots of pee - can anyone advise? Hi all, I have a question. I have Violet and my mom and dad have Violet's sister Francie. They are 12 weeks, and Francie is about 2 1/2 lbs. Francie is peeing A LOT. Like WAYYYY more than Violet does. Both are going on pads, so we can easily see how much each is expelling. I watched Francie for about an hour tonight and she went three LARGE pees in that time, and my mom says she does this consistently through the day..... As far as how much she is drinking, she is drinking more water than Violet too.... we figure she's consuming about a cup or so a day of water. Comparatively, Francie is drinking more than Violet, and absolutely urinating much more - and they are similar sizes... I have read that lots of urine can be a sign of kidney problems... has anyone experienced this? I know we probably need to get her to the vet. We have been going to a Banfield in my town that we like the vets at. Does anyone know how much a test like this would run and what it would entail? Thanks in advance!!

| I would take him to the vet..If the vet decides to do a complete blood work-up, that is usually around $100. He might want to do a urinalysis and urine culture...Around $35 (I think). I would just call your vet and see what kinds of tests he might want to run and get an estimate.

| Do they eat the same type of food and the same amount of food? Dogs that eat kibble will drink more water than dogs that eat canned or raw.
