| Fighting little yorkie I've had my little guy for almost a week and he is almost 9 weeks old. He has two speeds, either knocked out tired or going 1,000 miles an hour like a spaz (sp). When he is playing he is really rough. I'll be trying to play with him, showing him his toys and he'll play with them for a few seconds, but then he'll immediately go after my hand. He'll start chewing and biting my fingers. The first couple of days he was doing it gently and I thought it was cute. Now he is doing it harder and it is starting to hurt. He'll go from licking my face to biting my nose. If I reach down to pet him he goes after my hand (not all the time). I know he is doing it to be playful, but I don't want him to bite everyone he comes in contact with. Is this because he is so young? Will he eventually settle down once he gets a little older? Is there anything I can do to settle him down a little bit? Or is this what they do at this age? Thanks.... |

| Welcome to YT sorry I cannot answer your question as my two babies are very tranquil all the time. I would suggest when he is biting your hand to give him a toy so he gets the idea.

| My little guy used to do that.. and my girl when she was little too! when either of them would use their teeth on me I would just yip like a dog (yes, my roommates thought I was cuckoo) but both learned very quickly to not use teeth when playing!
