| Learning name.. I was wondering how long it took your furbabies to answer to their name? I have had Bella 4 weeks and when I repeatively call her name, she does not even show any interest, does not look my way, pretty much ingnores me...so I am wondering when puppies start to catch on that the name that you are calling them is theirs. Thanks |

| It took both of mine a couple of weeks but I was constantly saying their names. I even sang their names to them

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oddly, Marcel knew his name within 2-3 days. I'd just look him in the face when he was a few feet (or farther) away and say "Marcel!" (happy, joy voice) and he would come on over. He just picked it up right away.

| Oh boy, I do not know what to do then, because she is not even close to figuring out her name, do you think there might be a problem? |

| mocha picked hers right up too. when i first got her, i had no idea what to name her (i wanted a boy so i had one in mine, but i fell in love with her). after my bf kept calling her dog to make fun of the fact that i had not named her yet(), i looked at my starbucks cup and the first thing that came to mind was 'mocha'. so i called her that all the time. any chance i got. hopefully bella will catch on soon!

| Keep trying with her. The only thing I can think of is maybe she has a hearing problem

| Try giving her treats when she responds to her name. I did that with Emmy. Work on her name a few minutes every day. If you want the steps I used, send me a PM. |
