The garage door had a row of tiny windows at the very top that were tinted very dark - like very dark sunglasses. One needed a tall chair or ladder to get high enough to even see through them. Even if you did see through the window, unless the light was on in the garage, one wouldn't be able to tell very well what kind of dog one was viewing - just the size of dog. Maureen said they cracked the bottom of the garage about 3 inches and were feeling inside when her husband was there. Frankly, these weren't the greatest conditions to view dogs. When I was first told about this Maureen, I was only told about dogs in the garage. Later, when another person reported the story there were dogs in the backyard as well. Maureen told me that later as well, although the number of dogs and puppies changed a bit between versions. I think it was just very difficult conditions to really view anything clearly. | The other missing dog, Cosmo, was not neutered and went missing 3 weeks before Zeke. Based on that info, it is not possible for Tahoe to be Cosmo. I did point that out to Maureen when I dropped her off. |

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Maureen and Galatea - I'm so glad you two were there together, supporting each other. I am SO sorry, Maureen, that this was not your little Zeke - I was hoping you would find him here. The dogs you did find, were those in good conditions? Little Tahoe looks like he had pee all over his bed where he was laying. Those pups are certainly cute...and...chocolately looking??? Interesting colors. Maureen, I'm sending good thoughts your way - I wish you and Zeke could find each other, and I'm still hoping this is the case.

| Maureen, I am so sorry that Zeke was not one of the dogs that you looked at yesterday. But keep the faith I believe he will be found it is only a matter of time. Remember the dog that was missing for 6 months and was returned to it's owner. I pray that whoever has him will bring him to the vet's and he will get scanned and the vet will question the person who has him and call you. I will continue to pray for Zeke's return. Galatea, It was so nice of you to make the trip to Modesto to help Maureen. God bless you for all you have done. j

The animals appeared well cared for. The oldest of the grandchildren appeared to be a 16-17 year old girl and she said they stayed there to take cre of the dogs while grandma was at work.

| Galatea, It was so wonderful of you to make the trip to Modesto, to do whatever it would take to get ZEKE back to Maureen, I, and I know everyone on this thread is very grateful for all you have done to help solve this nightmare Maureen has had to be living in for the last 8 weeks. You have been a blessing to everyone here, and have given all of us peace of mind and hope, that you would be able to find ZEKE, I think everyone on this thread thought Tahoe was ZEKE, with the exception of a few, I think the main reason being, we so wanted him to be ZEKE, we all so bad wanted a happy ending, and the heartbreak of Zeke still not being found is devastating to say the least. Galatea you went above and beyond what anyone would do to help bring Zeke home, I don't know of many Lawyer's that would take their vacation time to help for free, and work so hard to help Maureen and everyone on this thread, the information you provided gave us, the legal steps needed to be followed, you gave us hope, you were our much needed leader in our greatest time of need, a thank you will never be enough for all you have done, you are indeed a person that anyone would want in their corner, you are a fighter, you are focused, and when on a mission, you allow nothing to stand in your way, you are a hero to all of us, I hope you know in your heart what you have done for all of us, and Mostly for Maureen, you are just the best of the best, thank you so much. We didn't find Zeke, but you were able to at the least close that door, knowing that that family is a loving and caring family, taking very good care of their dogs and puppies, and I know that warmed my heart, and at least we do not have to worry about a bunch of adult yorkies or puppies not being well taken care of, and even tough ZEKE is not home, we can all rest in peace knowing that there are no puppies being abused, and that door can be permanently closed!!!!! I wish we had the same closure of the Wal Mart tapes, but that is another chapter, and another possible lead, we still remain hopeful. We have the Vets, Shelters, and can continue to post fliers, till we get another lead to pursue. I know if we ever get close to finding Zeke that you will be in our corner, ready, and willing, to help, and that gives us all peace of mind at the least. Thank you our friend for all you've done, the Lord is looking down on you and smiling for all the help you have been to all of us. May he Bless your Life in many, many ways, as you have blessed ours. Hugs, and Love to a wonderful lady!!!!! Jeannie |

| Hi all, Aaah..... I am at the airport in Madrid, and just wanted to check in here because I was so very hopeful that Zeke had been found; this is only the 2nd, brief internet connection I have had. (Kathy, thanks for the reply). I just don't know what to say; I am saddened beyond belief that Tahoe turned out not to be Maureen's precious Zeke. I have very little time, the connection keeps dropping, but I just wanted to say - Jeannie, welcome back Hon - what a pleasure to see you here again; Galatea, I have no adequate words to describe my admiration for you... you have gone to extraordinary lengths for Maureen. Lastly Maureen, I can only imagine your anticipation, your pounding heart, as you were taken into that room where you thought you would find Zeke. I could not see your face in the pictures, but I can only imagine the sadness, the terrible disappointment you must have been feeling, holding that little dog that was not your beloved Zeke. My heart truly goes out to you Honey. Please know, that since I have left USA, you have been on my mind a lot. To all of you wonderful, amazing people that have persevered with such determination in your effort to help a fellow Yorkie Talker ....... BRAVO TO YOU ALL! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Hi every one!!! Lauren, I'm sorry you didn't get the news we prayed for...Zeke was not found yet. Hope you are having the time of your life, and we know you have been thinking about Zeke throughout your travels...A big hug to you!!! Jeannie...What can I say, we are all heart broken, and sorry this was not the path to Zeke...but at the very least, we do now know that the dogs and puppies there are being taken care of, which in my mind is quite a relief. My hope now is that Zeke too is being taken care of and loved by some one...some one that isn't aware that he is missing his family...he is micro chipped and hopefully one day, a vet will scan him and contact Maureen. I too want to take this time to thank galatea...without her guidance, we may still be on the wrong track...again. Tahoe is Tahoe, not Zeke...I am sorry, but at least we now know this for sure. That door is now closed...and I'm sure more will open, as we continue with our wishes, hopes and prayers for Zeke to come home. My heart is heavy with the aching and breaking, Maureen...A big hug to you, I wish there was something I could do to make this easier for you...you've become a wonderful friend and I'm here for you if you ever need any thing. Chins up people...we still need to focus, think positive and have good vibes. Zeke where are you sweetheart, please come home!!!

I was not mistaken there were 3 adult dogs in the garage and I saw them very clearly that is how I knew the 1 looked like Zeke... As you can all see he look very much like Zeke. I was wrong about the number of puppies though I only saw 4 but there were actually 7. The other three could have been under the car or in the house I dont know, but I do know what I saw. I have always said we thought there were at least 8 dogs there... not counting the puppies... There were 5 or 6 dogs on the side of the house! When my husband and I walked up that day we heard a lot of barking but yesterday when we approached there was NO barking I found that very strange. I dont know why they were not barking but that does not mean they were not there. Like I said, I know what I saw! **QUOTE***When I was first told about this Maureen, I was only told about dogs in the garage. *** If I failed to mention the other dogs it was not because they were not there but because my thoughts were on the dog in the garage that looked like Zeke. As for the conditions of the dogs... The mom had golf ball size matts in her coat I could feel them when I picked her up. I could feel and smell the urine on her. "Tahoe" was not as bad, he had only a few small matts that could have been removed with a good brushing but he too had urine on his coat. The puppies where fat and happy that I will agree with.
