| ![]() One of the most difficult times was when I had to give up sleeping with Sophie because she was sick. Made her a bed in the bathroom so she could pee pee/poo poo at will ![]() Not sure what is worse, lack of sleep or those little muchins snuggling up to be closer. What a comfort to wake up, reach over and touch his sweet self.

| ![]() oh Kimberly how sad!!! but i think it is just going to take some tough love. Layla sleeps in a crate. on a table RIGHT next to my bed.. .it is flush to the bed so i think she thinks she is IN the bed.... and i think it is going to be a few nights of crying and barking, but i'm sure you've read it a thousand times... just let em bark it out... so maybe a weekend ![]() |

| ![]() It's fine when Kenny is on night-shift, but when he's not, me, him and three Yorkies give us backache, disturbed sleep a hundred times a night when they get too hot and want in and out of the covers, and Kenny gets too hot as they always hug him as he's the warmest ! Tammy is a head hugger - but never mine - it's always Kenny, hee hee. He says he's hot enough without the dogs making him even hotter ! I can't get close to Kenny anymore either - they get in the way if I try to hug him - I don't think they like not getting the attention ! We have moaned about it a few times, but I couldn't not have them in bed beside me....plus who would wake you up in the morning, licking your eye-lids, nose, inside your ears, and cleaning you at night-time before you go to sleep ! ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I so know what you mean. First there was Bell who basically always slept with us (me and the hubby) Then Bell had Lilly, we kept her and Lilly slept with us too! Then came along Petey, three was trouble for us, so we decided to keep Lilly and Petey in a X-large crate, its is big enough for a shepard. They are comfy and never cried or anything, I'm guessing because they had each other. Well Bell got pregnant again and after the birth she wanted to stay with the puppies and she did. Now all three sleep in the crate and everyone is happy including the hubby and me who are now getting a full nights sleep. ![]()

| ![]() When I was cleaning/organizing my bedroom, there was too much stuff on the floor for Max and Abbie to be out and about in my (their) bedroom. So I used an exercise pen and closed off a section of the bedroom so they couldn't get into anything. Their crates, a big dog bed, and a big chair so that they could look out the window are all in the area. I put them in their area during the day when I was at work and at bedtime for a few weeks. When I allowed them out of the area for bedtime after a few weeks, they actually preferred to be in there rather than on my bed. The first few nights, the started off on my bed but ended up in their area. I miss sleeping with them, though ![]()

| ![]() I know they might get their feelings hurt but could you train them to only sleep at the end of your bed by your feet. I had to do this with my first maltese after my first baby was born, she always slept under the covers by my tummy and she couldn't do that after baby came because we often had him in bed with us during the night. |

| ![]() Wow. I thought the reason I was getting up in the mornings all humped over in pain & awful leg cramps was because of age. ![]() Did know even think to blame it on the 5 furbabies in the bed. ![]() |
