| Izzy's First Day at Daycare! I dropped Izzy off at doggie daycare today for the first time! I was nervous when I left him because there were so many big dogs! He's played with big dogs before but just one at a time. He seemed nervous at first but he fit right in after a few minutes. So I called about an hour ago and she said that he played really well with the big dogs and he was playing with a pug. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the fact that they dont feed them when they are over 6 months old. So I have to make sure he eats before we leave in the morning. They give him treats. Is that normal for doggie daycare? Im only going to start him off at one day a week and see how he does after that.

| How many hours a day does he have to do without eating? I haven never taken mine to doggy day care so I dont know if that is normal or not but I am glad he is having a good time playing with the other dogs. |

| at petsmarts with petshotels their doggy day camp they feed them whatever you want.... if you want them fed in the morning they will, and they have a lunch break where they can have lunch or treats. they also split the dogs up into small and large groups

| I always thought they had a small dog group and a large size group.. I don't know the large and small being together, I know our labs are to rough with wicket and they know him, and the great dane is completely off limits. I wouldn't feel safe about that. |

| They do have a large and small dog group. When we got there it was mostly large dogs. When the pug came in she moved him with the small dogs group.

| I don't understand why they won't feed him if you bring his food. I'd ask them about it.

| He will be there for 10-11 hours....which is a long time especially since he didnt eat before we left. She said she would give him treats. If I take him again I will just make sure he eats before we leave. Im only going to do once a week so it wont be an every day thing.

| I wish I could do Petsmart, but there aren't any locations that is convenient for me where I can drop him off and pick him up. This one is 2 min from my house, its local and I heard good things about them...but this food thing is bothering me. Im going to ask why they dont feed them when I pick him up.

| Hi, thanks! I would be worried also about him not eating all day, but if you do feed him in the morning and they give him treats throughout the day he should be okay. I have heard great things about Canine to Five. And when I get my Yorkie I plan on taking him/her there maybe a couple of days out the week seeing as I go to Wayne State. |

| He had a blast!! Izzy loves it there! The owner said that he was not afraid of the larger dogs, he was so confident. He played well with all of them. I took him back today and there were more little dogs, so Im sure he will enjoy it again. She was nice enough to send me pictures here they are:
