I never get how someone can threaten legal action for stating something that happened to them. It seems that is the way business works... you create happy customers and you sell healthy puppies, and you get great reviews. If you don't do that, then you get bad reviews... seems simple and the way things should work.

If people don't want negative things said about them, be more proactive in your customer service? Seems like the right idea to me!

I think it is just that - A THREAT. I do not personally believe for ONE SECOND that you can ACTUALLY SUE SOMEONE for them stating what happened to them IN TRUTH. I'm sorry but I think that is a load of BULL!

People that threaten this crap IMO do it just to scare the buyer so that they WON'T say anything.

I can guaruntee you one thing - if something like this ever happened to ME...you'd better believe that some silly little THREAT wouldn't DARE stop me for telling MY story!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

Hello again everyone:0) Once again, let me express my thanks to so many of you that have offered your help and prayers today...it means the absolute world to me.
So, I have decided that the easiest way to strike attention/help from the surrounding media and news organizations is to write a formal complaint to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) of Dallas. The Dallas branch happens to be the closest one to Dodd City, TX, which is where Jeff Dane is running his puppy mill. This is where I need all of your help, just because you didn't purchase your pup from him or his bogus website,, doesn't mean you can't help flag a possible puppy mill situation. You can write an email to the BBB of Dallas @ www.dallas.bbb.org OR you can call them and make a complaint @ 214-220-2000 (between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm). I also am having a very hard time getting ahold of the ASPCA in TX. I have called 2 days in a row and left messages...anyone who could also call and possibly leave a message or talk to a rep would aide me tremendously, that number is: 214-742-7722. Also, I am considering filling a class action civil lawsuit against Jeff, which means if ANY of you have dealt with shady business from Jeff Dane...please, please, please contact me. Remember, sick dogs=big profits for Jeff Dane and that puppy e-mills make animal abuse quick and easy. This type of behavior absolutely must be put to an end.

i am so happy for you. believe me, what you are doing will save many people from sick puppies. i have never adopted a puppy from him but have read many stories. this needs to be investigated b/c there are too many people out there who have legitimate complaints. he has threaten many people and i think they back down b/c they feel there is nothing that can be done. there is and we have seen it happen. he lurks around this site to see what people say about him. if he is smart, he will realize this is not slander but legit. there is a news crew who came on this site to get people to help shut down a kennel. i will find this thread for you. if i can help in anyway, let me know. again, i have no personal dealings with him but if there is anything, please let me know.

Good evening everyone. Yet another busy and interesting day with my Jeff Dane drama. So, I called the Kennel in TX that checked my pup ok to fly...the office is actually legit and Dr. Gray was very friendly on the phone this am. She said that Jeff had brought my puppy by the afternoon before his flight and that he seemed okay? However, I took him for a general wellness exam the very same day he arrived and he was diagnosed with a respiratory infection/bacterial infection, which he was prescribed Clovomox for. She did in fact tell me though, that she has had 2 other calls recently that have been clients of Jeff's with dead puppies on their hands too...INTERESTING! Obviously, she was not able to release their names or info. Also, got a call back from the SPCA of TX. I was teaching one of my swim lessons to a group of kids and was unable to answer. The woman who left me a message (Courtney) said to call 214-461-1850 OR go to www.SPCA.org and file an online complaint. I have done both of those today:0) I have also reviewed the Inside Edition piece that a TX FOX26 news reported David did a few months back on another puppy mill kennel in TX by the name of Brushy Creek Kennels...glad to say that that website is no longer operating YEA:0) I am doing everything in my power to contact him. All your letters to the BBB will help me, along with letters to the TX State Attorney General (his contact info listed below).

I am moving to Worcester, MA on 8/17/2007 to be with my fiance and think that it would be a shame to let Jeff Dane ruin me on pets. So, once I'm settled around the 22nd in my apartment and have a stress-free enviroment for a puppy, does someone know of some cute yorkie/yorkie mixed pups or their breeder in the MA area? Unfortunately, I have larned that buying dogs on the internet is scandalous at best and that the word tea-cup insn't a safe bet... so, as a well knowledged pet owner now, I would like to go meet my puppy and see his enviroment and meet the breeeder personally. My heart is so broken and I cry almost daily over my first pet, who happened to be that little angel Capone sent by Jeff Dane...everyone is telling a new puppy will help to ease that sadness. if you know of any decent breeders back in that area with reasonable prices, please send me their contact info. I don't know of any breeders in MA ( I lived in Boston for 3 years), but I just wanted to warn you against buying a mixed breed pup.

I have 3, and none of them were bred well. Although they don't have health issues, they could very well down the line. No health or temprament testing is done by breeders of mixes and it's very risky.

I will keep my eye out for some good yorkie breeders in MA :)

BTW I am so jealous you're moving up there, I miss it terribly! :)

There is a nice Brazilian woman in my city who breeds yorkies,She is on puppy find. I visited her, played with her dogs and puppies, she was nice but her prices were out of my ball park. you can pm me or look under puppy find for Beverly, MA. Good luck on your move and once again I am so devastated for your loss and all the heartache you are going through!

Is there any possibility that he is taking different pups into the vet then he is shipping?? I have no experience with shipping puppies, so I don't know if anything like this is even possible.

But how is a dog perfectly healthy at one vet & later in the day so sick at another vet's??? I realize the plane ride can be difficult, but the conditions you are desribing do not add up.

Oh my - I never even THOUGHT of doing such a thing. I wonder if the OP could ask her vet to call and talk to the vet who originally checked the dog. Perhaps there would be a difference in weight? Coloring?

I have not dealt with Jeff Dane, but I may know people who know him. His ranch is like five miles from my family's ranch. (I don't live there) I have lawyers ALL over Fannin county in my family. Feel free to PM me. :thumbup:

But this is my first suggestion...PLEASE write a breeder review in the breeder review section of this site! It won't get lost in a lot of posts there and will be the first place most people search on here if they are looking for a puppy.

I just looked at that site. Why in god's name are some of his "tea-cup" yorkies upwards of 7-10 thousand dollars? What determines such an outrageous price?

Charging an exorbitant price makes people think they are worth more?

My boyfriend and I just got done reading this thread, fully-and we are sick-this guy is an idiot-to say the least. Anyways.. My boyfriend found him on RipOffReport.com search Jeff Dane or yorkiepup.com. There are probably so many websites he is being slammed on, so can you imagine all the people who have bought a puppy from him and aren't on the internet?? im so sorry this happened to you. but you have tons and tons of people ready to help you, however you need it. sorry again. we will keep you in our prayers-let us know if you need anything!!

oh yeah also.. i had seen his website a while back and first thing i thought was shadyyyy-just cuz of the way he was displaying his pups-but something that really irritated me for some reason was when i saw he had put "discount"(in big red letters) on a couple of the puppies. who does that..especially when they were still babies and they were on a long list of other puppies. so weird-hope this guy gets what he deserves AND SOON!!! i can only imagine what he looks/acts like-eeeew i get pissed just thinking about that sick man(and his wife for that matter)

I am so proud of you taking a stand against this horrible situation. You are young, but very savvy! There is no need to back down when you stand for something you know is right. If people are so upset about Michael Vick and his dogfighting, how can people not be upset about fraud and the abuse of many animals for profit?
