| Yorkie skin care I have a two year old female yorkie and lately she has been scratching up a storm. She doesn't have fleas but I gave her more flea medicine anyway. As a result of all this scratching and biting she has three bump/scab type things on her lower back above her tail, atleast I think they are from all the scratching. I don't use any special type of shampoo at the moment but want to find out a good shampoo I could use to improve and heal her skin that isn't too harsh. Thanks! |

| We use Coat Handler, and I recently read a review where someone stated that it helped with their yorkie's skin/coat problem. Oatmeal shampoo is supposed to be very gentle and good for them as well. Are you sure it's not the actual flea medication that is making her itchy? I would not give her more than the recommended amount because those are chemicals that are being put on her skin. If you think she has fleas or see fleas on her, wash her in a little regular Dawn dish soap. This will kill the fleas instantly and it's not harmful to her. You only need a little. But it won't prevent fleas from jumping on her when she goes outside. I hope your baby starts feeling better!! She might have allergies??
