| Good news! Max was neutered today and he is now safe at home resting. His surgery went really well, he is still really tired and a little whiney. If anyone has after nueter care advice I'd really appreciate it. Is there anything I should do or watch for? | Ahhh Jenette~ Max is adorable rubbin his little eyes in the video . I just love it when they do that when they are sleepy. I am so glad his surgery went well. I have no after surgery advice since Hefner "came neutered" and Buddha hasn't had it yet, but I am sure he will be fine. Does he have the collar? Did they use the "glue" on the outside? Did you have laser or traditional? |

| Thanks Kim, thats nice Hefner came neutered. It was a big worry of mine to get this done and I am so glad we did it and the surgery was a success. I think they used traditional he has stitches but it only looks like 1 or 2 and they will disolve. They did send him home with the collar and told me to put it on him if he showed any intest in his area down there. So far he's been sleeping so I haven't put it on him. I have to go to work for a few hours tomorrow, I will probably put it on him then since I wont be around to watch him.

| Yeah for Max doing so well! The only advice I have is to not let him jump for a while when he gets his energy back. Lucy got spayed and when we brought her home, she jumped off the bed and ripped her stitches open. And that was not fun!

| Jennette: Max is lucky to have such a caring mom as you! When Carter was neutered, he was a little down and out the first afternoon but by the next day, he was ready to go at full speed! I had pain meds to give him each day for 3 days. I didn't really think he needed them but I administered them since they were prescribed by his vet. I figured since she went to college for quite a long time and earned her degree that I could trust her judgment. I'm glad that Max is doing well so far!!

| ouch poor baby. I can only speak from my experience with Cookie. When we got back from the vet he was sleepy. I had already made an extra soft thick blanky for him. After about 4 hours he was in extreme pain. He would not walk to pee. So I carried him to his pee pad. He cried/screamed in anguish while I tried as gently as possible to put him on the pad. He peed like 4 times the average pee pee that he makes .I called the vet because I couldn't stand to see him crying so much in pain. He told me to give him 1/4 tsp baby tylenol .. I know there is a children's pain medication that they should not have ,so ask your vet first . After I gave him some in a syringe, it took about 20 minutes and he was able to stand and eat his food. I totally spoiled him that whole week.He was not able to jump up on the sofa or off the sofa for about a week . They heal very fast! Max will be back to his old self before you know it. I carried him everywhere . He slept on a sofa chair against my bed for the first week . Give Max a gentle kiss on the head from Cookie&Mimi Genie |

| That was the most precious video! My daughter and I sat here and watched it over and over. It was just too sweet.

| Thanks everyone for your well wishes and kisses to Max. He is walking around following Missy everywhere, and Missy is following me so I have a yorkie tail tonight. Poor Max follows her whimpering, I am not sure why? She is in heat, maybe he wants to sniff her? Or maybe he just wants some sympathy from his girlfriend? Its so pitiful to see him following her so sad. The vet did give me pain meds that I am supposed to give every 6 hours. He isnt in pain just wanting some affection from Missy. I gave it to him at 4pm and will give it again in the morning. I will be so glad when he is back to himself again. Lily, you are so funny. I am glad you and your daughter liked the video, doesnt he look like a little baby.
