				   | My little Chewy is almost 4 months old and he has been so funny! He will stand in his food dish and water dish, and sometimes he will dig like mad in the water dish until it is all over his belly and the floor, and whatever is left that he can't dig out he drinks until the bowl is licked dry! Has anyone ever seen this before? I think it's so cute, but I wanted to be sure it wasn't a sign of something he's lacking or anything. Thank you! |

				   | My Chewy used to do the same thing at that age....She didnt lick the plate clean but always used to dig in it and get herself soaked and then run around like mad to dry off. I dont think it means hes lacking something..Just playing. Mine's almost 1.5 yrs old now and she has pretty much stopped doing all that crazy stuff. |

				   | My yorkie doesn't do it but my shih poo does. He gets in his little baby pool and splashes and digs. It's too cute. I think it's normal if the baby likes water.

				   | I used to have a shih-poo who did that. She had other annoying habits: poop eating and submissive urination. Just for curiosity, does yours do either of those?

				   | he might do the poop eating... but I have 2 doxies also and I never catch whoever it is in the act, lol. He doesn't do the peeing submissivly, but he does peepee in lots of different places instead of letting it all go in one spot. He's not lifting his leg or anything, just squatting. |

				   | Zoey won't dig in the water, but sometimes she digs and digs and digs at her food dish until it flips right over on her. Weirdo

				   | Coby doesn't do it YET, but I'm sure Reggie, my 10 year old Shi Tzu will teach him, because he's done it for all ten years!!

| Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Peeka will scratch and dig in both his dishes when they are empty because he wants me to fill them lol. It drives me nuts because he will not stop till they are filled lol. But he doesn't do it when there is water in it. Sounds really cute!
