| I was offered a male Yorkie...don't know what to do! A friend of my daughter has a Yorkie that she can't keep. She's moving to NYC and can't have pets there. Right now he is living with her Grandmother, so she doesn't see him that often. He is a 4 y/o unneutered male and weighs about 5.5 lbs. That's all I know about him. I don't know what he looks like, where she got him, whether or not he is registered, nada! While I would love to have another Yorkie, I also love having one that I can take everywhere with me. Two might be a problem. I also don't know if he has had any shots or if he's housebroken. I'm not even sure he likes other dogs. I can't get to see him, because he's in Brooklyn right now. I'm confused and would like to know he's going to a good home. I wish I knew what to do. Any ideas?

| It sounds like you need more information before you can make the decision. Can you get more information about him? If not, and she just wants to give him away for free maybe you can take him and if it doesn't work out you can rehome him through YT. I love having more then one. They entertain each other so well but you are right it is harder to take them places. I usually take turns taking 2 of them with me. I have a stroller or I use my big carrier. They all love to go bye-bye. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted. I would love it if someone dropped another yorkie in my lap. LOL |

| Sookie, maybe she can sign on here and ask anyone if they are interested . . that is if you have finally decided NOT to take him yourself. Hugs to Kalina. |

| I agree with everyone. I say YES take him in and be his 'Foster Mom' - After you have him for a week, you'll know if it is going to work out or... If it does, than you get to be his Momma and if not, Than you can find him the perfect home for him here on YT. Now, just think about this little fella... He is 4 years old and now he going to be torn apart from the only family he knows. He is going to be scared and he is going to need a great family. I truly think that you would be doing him a huge favor by taking him in and either keeping him or YOU finding him a great family here on YT. I am really worried about this little fella. I would really hate for this girl to get desperate and just give him away to anyone, and that family could just be horrible Please let us know what you decide to do??? |

| I think "fostering to adopt" would be a great idea here! If the little guy works out with your lifestyle you can keep him, but if it doesn't work out you will be able to pick and choose the home he goes to. Seems like a win-win! |

| Yorkiemommie1934 is looking for a yorkie. She's only 13, but has her moms conset. I think you could make her one happy girl. We'd have to get the YT train going, but I'm sure we could. Just a suggestion.
