Weight doesn't matter Your precious baby is too cute....I don't know how you can look at that face and even think about resenting him for his size. No one can tell you exactly how much your baby will weigh, anyone can guesstimate, just by looking at mom and dad but even then you have these puppies that come out of no where and end up larger than all other littermates. Believe me, I breed, and my Maxy (6.1 lbs) is nearly twice the size of his sister Layla (3.8 lbs), and all other puppies that have come from same mom and dad. He's also bigger than mom and dad; we kept him for ourselves and not because we couldn't sell him. He actually was sold but then returned after 3 months because he was purchased for an 18 yr. old girl who didn't have the time to spend with him, she was heartbroken and still comes by to visit every so often, but that's another story. And as far as weight goes, you can still have a 6 pounder and it still be compact in size. My Kylie weighs 6 lbs, and she is shorter and not as long as Maxy who weighs 6.1 lbs. I hope everything works out for you. |

I was hoping for one that would be about 3 lbs and 4 at the most. So, not super tiny or anything. It just sucks that I was lied to and taken advantage of. |

Well, I guess you are just a better person than I am then. That's what you were hoping to hear right? |
I agree with you that is does suck that you were lied too. But I honestly have to say, I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy with TJ and Roxy - They are 7 lbs and 5 lbs - They truly are perfect! I also have a maltese/yorkie mix. She is approx. 15 months old. She is the SAME size as TJ...BUT she only weighs 3.5 lbs. She has a petite frame, but she is the same height and length as TJ So there you go...When you look at TJ and Cuddles together, you have NO IDEA that one weighs 2x the weight as the other! I say keep him, he sounds like a love bug! ;) |

I bought him this new food yesterday because he was on Eukanuba and I read that it's not the greatest. So I got a bag of Innova brand puppy food. It was a 6.6 lbs bag and as I was carrying the food I realized that if my dog got as heavy as that, it would just be too difficult for me to carry him around. unfortunately I have a pretty busy lifestyle which would require me to carry him around quite a bit. So that could be a problem. My arms and shoulders are kind of not the healthiest or strongest. |

Obviously she doesn't love him or she wouldn't be talking about giving him back based on the fact that he'll probably be bigger than 3 or 4 pounds. Punkie - I think you should give him back because you'll never be happy with him if he's "too big" and so it's best for him to find someone to love him for what he is - no matter what. Worrying about a pound or two sounds pretty shallow to me. I'm sorry if someone is upset with this but I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer. So, lambaste me if you want, but that's my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide though, Punkie. This whole post makes me wonder - have we all been Punk'd? |

i also agree with the above poster that you should find him a new home...someone that will love him regardless of size. if i had the money to give you that you paid for him, i would take him in a heartbeat. but i don't. i do hope you find him a great home...OR i hope that you can fall in love with him regardless of size, coloring, or anything else that may not go as planned. |
