| Dog Carrier Tips I can't make my baby happy in his carrier to save my life! He keeps jumping out of it, or sticking his head out. You would think he was dying if I zipped him up in it. I love taking him everywhere with me, but he's not too cooperative. Does anyone have any tips about getting him adjusted to being in his carrier?

| hmm... Stewie doesn't mind at all. Maybe you can keep it open near his food and bed? So he gets used to the look and feel of it? or put him in there when its in the house with it open?

| I started out putting Mya in hers at nap time. She would just sleep in it. I try to play with her before I put her in and make sure she has peed, pooped and is not hungry. Lately if she sees kids she wants out to play with them. Depending on where I am I will let her out for a visit. She goes in her carrier when it is sitting on the living room floor for a nap or to chew a bone. Just remember there is a dog in there.....lol I see some people swinging the dog and bumping in to door ways and people with the carrier. Poor puppies !!!!!!!

| Mine were the same way, yorkies are stubborn. I tried putting it on the floor and I guess she was less scared of it. Honestly, I had to try a few different carriers before I found the right one. Which one are you using. For example,Haley only likes ones where she can stick her head out (I know you can with most) but she hated the Bali 2. |

| I have a little canvas one, that is hard on the sides. It has mesh on the sides that zips on one side, and a canvas top that zips up and snaps. I've tried putting him in it to sleep and stuff with it open, and he just pops his head out of the side and looks at me like I'm going to leave him and never come back. I've put him in there just to sit between Bryan and I as we watch TV and he wants nothing to do with that either! I'll try just leaving it open and seeing if he will go in there. Maybe I'm just putting him in there when he is too excited.

| Hey, Im having the same problem as well.. a friend of mine gave me her old carrier that her dog grew out of.. its like an over the shoulder sling bag thing, Wookie sits or is more like cradled in front on my stomache.. i dont know if that is a good description.. anyways, the first time, someone helped me put him in there, and we were in a strange place, and he was sooo calm, and just layed there with his cute little head poking out.. but now he wont have anything to do with it.. he jumps right out of it.. there is no taming him at all.. possibly because he smells a different dogs smell.. ?? I cant really leave it out for him to sleep in.. it doesnt really stay open for him to easily use.. its weird to explain. anyways, i think they just have to get used to it. |

| Our first dog, Bandit hated the carrier. It's like a big shoulder bag with a zipper on top and mesh sides to look out of. When he was in there was the only time he ever yelped and whined. Tucker loves it. We went to Target last night and I set it in the child seat of the cart, he did stick his head out to look around, but he was very good. The first time I put him in there I gave him a treat at the bottom so he just layed there and ate it. Maybe your baby is just too curious to see what is happening to be in it? Wish I had more advice.

| I can't get Brutus in one either! He hates it! I'm just glad I didn't buy an expensive carrier!

| Yeah Linus makes it very obvious that he's in there. I think I'm going to just try putting him in there a little every day until he gets used to it! Thanks ya'll
