| I am so in love! WARNING: This post is a mushy love post about me and my baby! Can I just say that in the 2 weeks that I have had my Keeley I have fallen so in love with him! I have never had a dog before (at age 24) and have never thought of myself as a "dog person" but my hubby had dogs growing up and really wanted one in our family. After over a year of studying and looking into it we decided to get a Yorkie. As we were pulling away from the breeders house with Keeley on my lap, my husband said "Touch his nose!" I thought he was crazy, but I did and yes it was wet, yes it was cold. I didn't really understand how much my hubby missed and loved that...And it was cute because he was so excited for me to have my first dog. Now 2 weeks later I have cleaned up lots of pee and poop, been thrown up on by a car sick puppy and lost sleep due to a little bed hog. Yet, I realize I am so head over heels in love with this little guy. I think about how much happiness he brings me and I my insides melt. I don't know why we waited this long to get one in the first place! (But I am glad we did because I couldn't imagine having another one). He is such a sweetie, and I am so glad I have him. Sorry this is so long and I am getting all sentimental. But I have been thinking today about how much I really love and care for this little guy. I knew I would love him, but it has taken me by suprise how deep it has grown in 2 short weeks! |

| There;s no feeling, like the feeling of puppy love! No matter how bad it gets, they are always there to love you and make you feel better.

| Girl, me too! Amen to that! I am 23 and have never had a dog before my yorkie either! My husband got Sully for me on my 23rd birthday....now he is 10 mo. old. (Born Aug.04) But of all the twists and turns, and all the work and patience, and bills and everything...he's the most joy in my life other than my husband! We looked into getting all sorts of breeds before we decided on a yorkie, too. Once you're sure, there's nothing like it and it's SO WORTH IT! Yay for us! We're all in love!

| Meg, your thread just warmed my heart over reading it. It truly is amazing the blessings our little fur babies give isn't it? And when we look into their sweet brown eyes I honestly know and believe we can feel their love back to us. Life is so much better sharing it with our Yorkie (s) !!

| Meg, Reading your post melt my heart. I feel the same way with my Gucci. There is nothing better than puppy love. I love to read thread like this. Im so happy that here we are not judge or consider nuts for loving our babies the way we do. To others that dont have a furbaby we seem nuts; but they dont know what they are missing. |

| That was so nice to read. Isn't it amazing? A while back I was carrying Gus in public and he peed down the front of me. I couldn't have cared less, I love him so much. I've tried to explain how much they are like babies to people who don't have lap dogs but I don't think you can understand until you own one.

| I think that every YorkieTalker on here can say the same thing. We all love our Yorkies to death. I fell in love with TJ from the moment I saw him. Unfortunately for me, I also fell in love with his brother, so I had to choose one of them. Anyways, I fell into a deeper love everyday because I spent so much time with TJ. I never wanted to leave him all alone. I am also madly in love with Riley. LOL! I think it's PUPPY LOVE LOL! I think we all love our dogs. I am glad that you posted it because it really made me realize even more how much I love my Yorkies and how much they have changed me into becoming a more loving person. |

| What a happy love story! I am so glad you are having fun with your new baby! It only gets worse too. For example, I felt so bad about leaving my dogs alone that after I got married, I quit working to stay home with them. How crazy is that!
