| Old Yorkie New Puppy Hi. I'm very new to this forum. I need help badly. Last month we brought home an 9 week old yorkie we named Gertie to our 6 year old yorkie Gideon. Gideon was scared of the little thing and he acted all nervous and wouldn't touch her. He wasn't mean to her. He just avoided her. It ONLY took 3days though and they started to play. Now, they sleep together and Gideon even shares his bed with her now at night. During the day, we leave her locked in the kitchen with the baby gate while Gideon's still free to roam the house. Lately however (since last week), Gideon doesn't play as much with her. There are times though that he would still play with her, but more often than not he would avoid her. And worse, he pees in the house now. To begin with Gideon always has had potty issues, but it would be a once every two week or a once a month accident. but now, it's everyday. Gideon acts depressed and it seems like he's regressed and is less accepting of her. HELP! Anyone with the same experience??? PS: to begin with Gideon's always been loving, sweet and eager to please. He's not the typical spoiled yorkie and has no mean bone in his body. If he's playing with a toy, and Gertie wants to take it from him, he lets her have it. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | awwww- they're adorable I think in time they'll grow to be better friends - it's only been a short time and if they're already sleeping together that's a huge step in the right direction - it took my Chanel 2 MONTHS to let Cheri lay next to her lol and they're just 2 years apart - Congratulations on your puppy and welcome to the site |

| Welcome to YT! Awww...they are both soo cute. I am not sure why he is doing that, maybe it is a jeolousy thing or he wants more attention. I am sorry I am not much help I just wanted to tell you that your babies are really cute, and I am from VA too. I live about a hour south or Richmond. Good luck! Someone on here will be able to help out.
