YT 2000 Club Member | Best Yorkie Books What was the BEST book on Yorkies that you have read and own? I have been checking them out from my Library so I can see what ones I should definitely get before I get my puppy in December. I really liked "The Every Thing Yorkshire Terrier Book" |

YT 2000 Club Member | I was wondering if there was a real good book that you have and have referred to it a few times while caring for you dog. Like is there one that has a good first aid section in it? I would like to get good information before I have my puppy in my home. |

| I have "The Book Of The Yorkshire Terrier" by Joan Brearly. It's a huge older book chock full of information. Got it at the used book store...half price. Would like to read the for dummies one. Those books are always good...I have one on roses.

| Do a search for books - there are several that have been recommended. I have the Yorkies for Dummies," a book by Ian Dunbar who has an interesting philosophy (positive reinforcement), and a book by Cesar Milan, who some people like and some people hate. I like a lot of his ideas, but adapt them to my own way of doing things. Good luck with your Yorkie!

| I recently checked out a book called "Before & After Getting Your Puppy" by Ian Dunbar, and it's FANTASTIC!! It's one you'll want to keep. Also, the "The Yorkshire Terrier" by Deborah Wood (Terra-Nova series) is worth a buy, it has a DVD training video along with a wonderful book full of information. Safiyah |

Donating YT Addict | I loved this book.. Little Dogs: Training Your Pint-Sized Companion. It's not strictly about Yorkies but it has great tips on how to train such a small dog. I always had big dogs so it was very interesting. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Thanks for all the titles of books you have given, I have checked a few out. I liked the one for Dummies, it has a lot of information in it. I bought a Kennel Club Book Yorkshire Terrier: A comprehensive Guide to Owning and Caring for your Dog. I want to go back to Barns and Nobel and get a few more books on Yorkies, training and grooming, just to have around.
