My baby is missing.... 1 Attachment(s) This morning was a whirlwind. I took my Nigel out of his crate and ran him downstairs to let the nanny in and let him out back to go potty. He was feeling particularly frisky this morning and didn't feel like going right away. I ran upstairs to grab my phone and shoes and wake my sleeping boys. I asked them to hurry down and bring Nigel in and feed him so that I could get to work. When my Winston came inside he told me that Nigel wasn't in the yard. I have a fenced yard that I have carefully secured, but when you're so little I guess anything is possible. When my little boy got out front, he caught a glimpse of Nigel running as fast as he could, and took off after him. Even my very athletic 8 year old couldn't keep up with him. He lost sight of him, and now he is gone. We searched for an hour and then again for another hour, and nothing. I've called animal control, and the humane society in my area. We've posted signs, and scoured the neighborhood this evening. He has a collar and tag with his name and my phone number, but it's been 14 hours and nothing. I've been advised to post signs at the vets and groomers in my area. Does anyone have any other ideas? He was supposed to go get microchipped this weekend. I am heartbroken. He came from a terrible situation where I feel he was abused, so he is very frightened of strangers. For this reason, I can't imagine he would go to anyone. I would really appreciate any advice.... ~Devestated Mommy |

I'm glad you posted here. I told you these were a bunch of great ladies. I really do hope he comes home soon. If you need anything LMK. I'm in Cleburne so not too far away from you. I will keep my eyes and ears open. Good luck! Oh and I KNOW how fast they are! My Allie runs out the front door and vavoom she is gone. We have to chase her down atleast twice a day. Usually my 7 year old chases her while I get the car:D all I have to do is pull up beside her in the car and she jumps right in. I have him chase her so we don't lose sight of where she is going. I swaer she is part cheetah. |
Please if there are any members near her See if you can lend a hand. Poor baby needs to come home. |

Nigel Missing Bay I pray for his safety and recovery. You must be beside yourself with worry. If I were you, I would print out hundreds of flyers and staple them to trees, put them on cars, houses, malls, pet stores, vet offices, etc... I'm sure you get my point. I would also be searching day and night. Knocking on peoples doors to see if you can hear him bark when he recocgnizes your voice. Some people are horribe today and I wouldn't be surprised if someone saw him and picked him up. Also, Is he microchipped? was he wearing a collar with your contact information tag? If so contact your microchip company and alert them of this. This way, if some one brings him to a vet he will come up missing on the computer...if they scan him. One more thing send out an Amber Alert....It worked for my friends poodle. She lost her poodle and believe it or not, 6 months later, he was recovered.............So don't give up!!! |
how do I put out an Amber alert? I will do anything I can to get him home! |
Make sure on the flyers to put needs medication, the humane society told me to to that and i got my kaycee twice, also reward, thats how i got him back the first time, i will pray fou you and this sight has helped with prayer lot of babies have been returned to there mom. Donna |
Oh wow not yet huh? What about putting an ad in your local newspaper? |
Amber Alert So I take it he is still missing...Poor sweet baby. Ok, go to your local newspaper and put the ad out there. If you have extra cash to spare try to put it on the front page. I know it's not cheap, but it's so worth it. They will try to talk you out of this because Amber Alerts are usually for missing children. Be stern, hold your ground. Insist they print the ad. After all,, your paying for it. Unfortunately, some people don't think a missing pet is sever enough for an Amber Alert. Too BAD!!!!!! You can also go to all your local small news papers and do it there. Print out your own Amber Alert flyers to. An Amber Alert is Nation wide. Everyone is alerted of the missing subject. Everyone. Contact all the dog groups you belong to and spread the word. I pray you find your baby. Hope this helps. Is Zeke microchipped??? Did he have a tag on that day? |
Here's prayers going out for your little one to come back home. |
