OK, I'll show my ignorance - if the male pup is neutered at 4 months of age, do those umm, "situations" still arise??

Haha.. Welcome to the world of wonderful BOYS. Aubrey was humping my neighbors dog last night, and I am getting ready to get a girl, I think that I need to go get him fixed. But I remember the first time I saw his "thing" I relaized that he wasn't a boy anymore, and sometimes he will show it, and I just tell him to put it up!!

I've seen 8 week old male pups trying to do "something" so yes, a 4 month old will have the tendency...but I doubt Mr. Winkie would show his self!

Sorry to say -- but yes they will still arise! I have taken away Toby's Elmo, as he was getting way too "worked up" and a couple of times I thought I might have to take him to the vet... Fortunately, things settled back into place -- I was horrified at the thought of explaining the reason for my visit to the receptionist!!!

As funny as that is, that behavior can and should be corrected. You wouldn't find it amusing if you had a great dane humping the arm of your sofa, so why would you allow yhour little dog to do this. Tell them no when you catch them, and remove the object of their obsession.

Humping a stuffed animal can cause a full blown erection, and can cause injury and infection to the penis.

lolololol!!! I remeber when I was a kid our family dog, a boy shih tzu, used to have that happen to him all the time! I used to think he was hurt too! HAHAHAHA! Too Cute!
