| Neighbors...grrrrrrrr My neighbors have a yellow lab who we LOVE. She's a very nice dog, and we look after her alot of times when they are out of town. My neighbor let her out yesterday, and the dog came over since we were in the yard. We had Jake outside, but the neighbor hadn't seen him yet. He was behind a bush. When the lab came over, Jake went to greet her. They're good buddies. It was evening and we had a shirt on Jake because it was chilly outside. My neighbor FREAKED out, saying "omg Jake has clothes on!" Like, this is something that is just unheard of! She ran to the window to tell her daughter who was inside. Then, she turned and looked at me and said "have you gone insane?" All I said was "I've only explained to you about a million times that yorkies don't have an undercoat, and Jake was a little chilly". I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone, but she really is beginning to get on my last nerve. As I said, her dog is very nice and I love her. But, they feed her all the wrong things, and she is VERY overweight. I find that very sad because the dog has a hard time running and walking, and she gets very little exercise. They never actually walk her. They just let her out to potty and that's about it. If they're outside, she's usually with them, but is laying in the grass because it's too hard for her to move around! Sorry, just wanted to vent a little. I wish people would keep their comments to themselves.

| sounds like my new neighbor..she won't let her pom play with mine since she is a "toy" and might get hurt...and she is always commenting on the Yorkie personality. and of course she says her jasmine didn't bark til she moved next door and heard mine.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I'm sorry You really shouldn't have to explain yourself to her, only ppl that have yorkies understand that they have hair and can get cold easily. Anyway a lot of ppl that see my dogs with clothes surprisingly have never seen or heard of it before. I've had ppl stop me and be like "Is that a dress? Is it a doll dress?" And im like no, it's an actual dog dress. They think it's cute but they really have never heard of it before

| ugh! It sounds like my family (especially my sister) when I put Paddington in a jacket during the evening, or in the morning when he goes out. I've told them a million times it's chilly and the grass is wet, and he only has one layer of hair unlike other dogs that have an undercoat ETC. but they still make fun of me. My sister is the worst "You've got that stupid dog in his stupid fru fru clothes... he's a dog!" She hasn't pulled the "he's a dog, not a child" line on me yet because she knows I've had difficulties and it would really hurt me, but I know she is thinking it!!!!! Thankfully she stops at "he's a dog" because it would be some soap opera drama 'round here if she didn't! -O

| hmmm....i don't really trusts vets entirely myself. IMO, i feel like a lot are just out for the money. but there are good vets out there. sounds like it could posssibly be hip diplasia or maybe luxating patella? i'm no vet, but you might want to bring those things up next time. hope everything is OK.

| She should learn to take care of her poor baby before she makes comments about you taking care of yours!

| To be honest at first (befor we had Maya) I was kinda like that too. I told myself that she will not wear clothes, cause she's a dog. But after a good amount on research (thank God there is Google) I changed my mind and yes Maya is wearing little shirts now. My friend has a good laugh all the time, she thinks she is just too cute. But she would never be rude or hurtfull about it. Don't feel bad your Babie loves you - maybe she is jealous that they don't make clothes for the fatzo dog of hers. The poor thing.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | ERRRRR!!!! Some people just CANNOT keep their nose out of OTHER peoples business, and it drives me INSANE! Tell her to just hush up, you have a friend who's Yorkies own more clothes than she does If she thinks YOUR nuts, she needs to come see ME And WHERE THE HECK HAS SHE BEEN???? Clothes on dogs is sooooo common now. We actually have pet fashion shows in our local mall. I mean good Lord, this woman needs to get a grip, and get a LIFE Maybe she should be a little more worried about the HEALTH and well being of HER dog rather than worry about you putting a shirt on Jake to try and help keep him WARM ERRRRRR.....I'm just as mad for ya girl!

| Oh man - what would she think of me??? LOL My coworker stayed at a bed & breakfast this weekend and met a woman and her daughter that owned a poodle mix. The daughter liked dressing up the dog but the mom hated it. My coworker said, "Oh, I work with a girl that has a yorkie that has almost 150 outfits and all kinds of crystal collars and bows to match." The lady just couldn't believe it. LOL I always take Lacy with me to the dog boutique I work at and I usually get asked, "Does she like wearing clothes?" I tell them she wears clothes every day and has her own closet. I'm visiting my parents for a couple weeks starting this weekend and I'm going to have to decide what to pack for me and her!

| I think it's so silly when others feel the need to comment on dogs in clothes. I've even seen bigger dogs in clothes lately and it seems to be so common! I mean even Old Navy, Claires, ect ect have dog outfits. I can't see how people are so shocked by it! |

| I can't stand people like that!! These are little dogs, they get cold, and even so, who cares if we put clothes on them. I do it to keep Vinnie warm, he can't stand clothes and I can't stand to think he's cold. I put a t-shirt on him the other night and took him on his first real walk since we couldn't walk him where we were before and my new neighbors just loved him to pieces, and loved the shirt!
