| My Yorkie is scared of me I was playing with my 6 month old yorkie when she some how hurt herself and ran off crying really LOUDLY for a few seconds. I inspected her and she didn't seem to have any pain anywhere but then she was avoiding me and started shaking until my fiance came home. Now she just won't come near me. Do you think she will forget in a few hours?

I use to live in Colleyville. Evidently she isn't feeling well. I'd keep a close eye on her, but as far as her being afraid of you, I don't think so, she should back to normal quickly.

| She'll be back to herself soon probably. Any time slade gets hurt, he avoids me, even if I had nothing to do with the reason he got hurt.

| Oh, I know just how you feel. Two years ago my Buffy was shocking and passed out, I saw the whole thing and I ran to her and was going to give her CPR (that's the only thing that came to mind as I was running to her) ......when I stuck my finger in her mouth and pulled the food out she started breathing right away and stood up. She was scared of me and she looked confused, she moved away from me and was hiding under the dinner table. When I realized she was scare of me I cried to think that she would think I would hurt her, I just moved away and let her come to me when she was ready. So, I think your baby will forget about, just approach slowly and be real sweet. Best of Luck,

| oh no! I hope she gets better and back to normal soon. I read somewhere that dogs in general hide and stay away from their owners when sick, hurt or dying - I know, please don't fret about that now! Just be sweet and gentle and things should be normal again.

| I'm so sorry she hurt herself! I'm glad she's alright though! Any time my little Eury plays a bit too hard and hurts herself, as puppies are apt to do, she also cries loudly and runs off to hide. What I generally do is scoop her up and cuddle her close. Now it seems she comes to expect it and won't stop crying until I scoop her up. I have a feeling your little one will be just fine and won't continue to be scared of you or anything so I wouldn't worry! As long as we love them and are kind to them, dogs don't hold grudges!

| Thanks for all your replies!! She started playing with me at the end of the night and was back to normal when we woke up this morning so I was really relieved. I have no idea what hurt her. She rolled onto her back and I was hovering over her and tickling and making doggy noises at her. She had a similar reaction a long time ago with my fiance's mom. Maybe she has a bad shoulder or maybe she's got scared?? Any ideas?
